Other: Although it's the first day of school, Principal Peabody has a list of suspended students, polaroids hanging on the wall of people who have detention, and Mr. Thorn already has a student chart on his classroom wall with gold stars next to children's names who have done homework assignments.

Continuity: On Jr's first day of school, he refuses to get out of the car. Ben then rips the seat out of the car with Jr. in it. In the first shot Jr. has a seat belt, then in the next shot the belt is gone.

Continuity: After Ben wipes his mouth from being hit by the egg, it cuts to Trixie and you can see Ben behind her looking in another direction, without his napkin in his hand.

Continuity: When Junior, Trixie, and their parents get their picture taken at the pizza parlor, everyone smiles except for Trixie. Later, when Ben takes a look at the picture, Trixie is smiling.

Revealing: Junior can't get on the Crazy Dance because he is a milimeter too short. After seeing Murph (the 20-year old in his class) and Trixie (on heels) get on it, Junior speeds up the ride and all the kids on it get dizzy and barf everywhere. If you look where the puke shoots out, it's a bit obvious it's not coming from their mouths, but from a point behind them. Most obvious are Trixie and the boy wearing glasses.

Revealing: In the carnival, Jr. gets upset because he was too short to go on a ride so he messes up the ride causing it to go faster. If you look in the background sometimes you get to see other people moving fast, revealing they put the film in fast motion here.

Continuity: While LaWanda and the family are eating the salad with the bugs in it, they start to notice things moving around on their plates. Ben Healey (Grandpa) says, "What in the hell is in this salad?" LaWanda replies, "It's bleu cheese" after taking a bite of a piece of salad leaf with a big bug under it. During this shot, there is nothing on her face. The next shot is very brief, showing a surprised look on the others faces. In the very next shot, a huge bug is suddenly crawling on LaWanda's cheek. There was no way this bug could crawl out of her mouth and onto her cheek in the time allotted, let alone without her noticing.
