From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) - 32 mistakes

Continuity: Throughout the entire film the tattoo on George Clooney's neck moves position and changes shape.

Revealing: When George Clooney is talking to Juliette Lewis towards the end of the film, it is painfully obvious that his tattoo has been smudged.

Continuity: When Jacob gets bitten, he is thrown across the room by Sex Machine. If you look closely as he's flying through the air, you can see the wound on his arm has disappeared.

Continuity: In the final battle, Jacob turns into a vampire and bites Scott, when Scott hits Jacob with the holy water bomb, Jacob backs away from Scott, when Jacob removes his mouth from Scott's neck, there is no blood on it, two cuts later, there is blood on Scott's neck.

Continuity: In the shot where we see the bar (for the very first time) they are going to, you can see the background is flat, kind of like the building is on a flat area of land with nothing behind it. At the end of the film we see not only a giant ditch but also the trucks from over the years piled up behind the bar.

Continuity: When Sex Machine turns into a vampire, he covers his mouth so he doesn't show his fangs. When his hand changes, he tries to cover it up with his other hand. Watch this other hand. In the shot where THAT hand changes, it is in a different position from before.

Factual error: The Abilene, Texas courthouse should read Taylor County Courthouse, being that Abilene is the county seat of Taylor County, Texas. All Texas courthouses are named by the county they are in.

Continuity: During Santanico Pandemonium's routine, two dancers take the snake away so she can step forward. As they take the snake off, the second dancer is holding only a couple feet of the snake's tail, but in the next shot, the second dancer is holding the entire snake.

Continuity: At one point the RV is going down a rough, bumpy road and inside Seth and Richie are talking and everything is perfectly still.

Continuity: In the hotel when the manager comes through the door, in the first shot the door is open, but the next time the door is closed.

Continuity: While Seth is talking to Carlos about the loss of his brother and Kate's family, Kate turns around to survey the damage. Two quick cuts later and she's facing exactly as she was before, down to the facial expression.

Continuity: During the scene when Seth questions why the bartender will not serve him, several camera shots go to the band on stage You don't even have to watch carefully to know the band, especially the drummer, are not playing their instruments and/or their miming is way off.

Plot hole: When Seth's piledriver gives out during the climactic fight, there are many vampires in the background politely keeping their distance while he tries to restart it. Similarly, they ignore him while both his hands are occupied with Sex Machine's whip, even though vampires are running around behind him to no apparent goal.

Continuity: When Seth introduces Gloria to Mr. .44, the gun is level and pointed at the door. Cut to over Seth's shoulder and the gun is pointed at the ceiling.

Continuity: Right after Salma's dance, Chet, the bartender and another big guy walk up to Seth and Richie and accuse them of kicking him and breaking Chet's nose earlier. One of Chet's men then stabs Richie's hand as Seth pulls out his revolver and shoots one of the other men. It is obvious and easy to tell that the bullets supposedly hitting the men aren't causing any kind of blood or damage, etc. In fact, it almost seems they are blanks.

Revealing: Shortly after passing the border Seth is talking to Jacob who's supposed to be driving. But the reflection in his glasses shows that they don't move.

Continuity: When it shows a shot from the front of Seth, Kate and Scott running from the bats, some bats catch up with them and fly past them. But in the next shot from the back of them, no bats have flown past.

Continuity: Frost gets green blood all over his hand after holding the vampires heart, but this disappears while they are fighting the four women. After the fight finishes, the blood returns.

Revealing: The closing shot is obviously on a matte painting - the perspective on the ziggurat's corners is off.

Audio problem: When the Geckos shoot Chet Pussy, the sounds of gunfire don't match the visible gunshots.

Continuity: At the motel, as Seth and the owner are talking, the owner is hunched over. It cuts to his face and he is standing erect.

Continuity: When Richie stabs the bartender, the blood on the knife is green, however, throughout the rest of the movie, all the other vampires have red normal blood in them.

Continuity: Right after the Geckos capture the Fullers and are driving off, Seth is talking to Jacob in the front seat. The light and shadow on Jacob's hat change between shots on his face and shots on Seth.

Continuity: After Seth and Richie capture the Fullers, Seth sends Richie outside to start the car. Richie picks up the keys, stands up facing Kate, then exits past her to the right. As the door closes, she is standing against the wall - he would have walked to the left to pass her.

Factual error: When Richie shows the hole in his hand to Seth, it runs right through the tendons of his middle finger. Such a wound would prevent Richie from being able to open and clench that finger, but he doesn't appear to have any trouble.

Continuity: When the bats fly in through the shattered window, Seth and the two kids run into the hallway that leads to the store room. In one shot you see how the bats overtake the trio. In the reverse shot, Seth and the two kids are still ahead of the bats.

Continuity: When Frost drops the first of 4 vampire waitresses/dancers onto the legs of an upturned table, he drops her belly first but she lands on her back. There doesn't appear to be enough time for her to turn over in mid air and land perfectly on her back.

Deliberate "mistake": The disco ball doesn't start reflecting the sunrise until after the lead characters get out, even though it should have began to reflect light right when the door opened.

Continuity: As Santanico Pandemonium begins her dance, she tosses her cloak off and a stage hand emerges to remove it almost immediately. The stage hand then disappears in two shots of Santanico onstage, then reappears folding the cloak.

Continuity: In the liquor store, Seth kicks a shelf to get lighter fluid. Look closely - it is an overhead kick which means that his foot would be upside down. However Seth's foot is the right way round.

Continuity: In the beginning of the film, after the actor credits have been displayed, they show a shot of the car that Richie & Seth are in. As it's coming down the road, you can see Richie's foot hanging out of the window. In the next shot, inside the car, his foot is inside and they don't show him putting his foot outside the window until a couple of shots later.

Continuity: In the opening scene, the pages change in the magazine that the convenience store clerk is reading.
