During the whole movie Scott wears a T- Shirt with a "Precinct 13"- print on it. This is a reference to John Carpenter's movie "Assault on precinct 13". The story of this movie is in some aspects quite similar to that of "From Dusk Till Dawn": A small group of people is closed together in a building and has to defend it against a majority of enemies waiting on the outside during one night.
