Mistake Continuity: When Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl are floating along on the giant cookie down the river of milk, it has white chocolate chunks in it. But when the Cookie Parents pick it up, they have all vanished.

Mistake Continuity: In the opening shot at the breakfast table, there is a large cereal box and a carton of milk on the right side of the table, in front of two salt-n-pepper shakers. But during the scene it continues to swap to an angle behind the two shakers - but now the cereal box and milk carton have vanished, so as not to block the view for this angled shot.

Mistake Continuity: When Max, Sharkboy and Lavagirl are in front of Minus, Minus holds out Max's dream journal and it is upside down in his hand. In the next shot is it suddenly turned the right way up.

Mistake Continuity: After Mr. Electricidad tells Max off for talking to his daughter Marissa, as Max walks back to his seat Marissa's arms goes from crossed at her chest, to uncrossed with her left hand supporting her head.

Mistake Continuity: When Sharkboy and Lavagirl storm into the classroom to find Max, between subsequent shots the items on Marissa's desk in particular, continue to shuffle around and change position.
