Continuity: Just after Loque runs over the countess in his dune buggy, Bond runs over to her, kneels beside her and takes her pulse. She blinks.

Trivia
The parrot that is seen at the very end of "For Your Eyes Only" saying "Give us a kiss," to Mrs. Thatcher (actually Thatcher impersonator Janet Brown) later appeared in another Bond movie - 1987's "The Living Daylights". You can see him on the perch at the safe house in the latter movie See more...
For Your Eyes Only (1981) - 44 mistakes
Directed by John Glen, starring Bernard Lee, Desmond Llewelyn, Lois Maxwell, Roger Moore (add more)
Visible crew/equipment: The shadow of the crew is visible on the captain of the St. George when he enters the boat.
Other: When the Cuban hitman is shot with the crossbow, the arrow hits his back at the wrong angle. It should have been in his side instead of his back.
Continuity: Because Ms. Moneypenny knows that Bond is having a meeting with M, she opens a drawer to use the mirror. She just wants to start to put on makeup and Bond is entering her office. In the next shot her lips a fully red.
Deliberate "mistake": When Eric Kriegler shoots in the biathlon, the camera looks from behind the target, through the holes of the targets he has already hit. But in the next clip it can be seen that little flaps fall down and cover the holes when they are hit.
Continuity: In the scene where Locque is kicked off the cliff by Bond in his car, it is a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, model W 116. But in the shot before, when Locque drives away from Kristatos' warehouse it is the predecessor of that model.
Visible crew/equipment: At the end when Max the parrot drops Bond's watch into the water you can see a piece of wire lowering it in.
Factual error: In the pre-credit sequence with Bond and Blofeld, the helicopter makes a steep dive, however, the sound it makes is for a fixed-wing airplane, similar to dive bombers in WW2. Helicopters make no such sound.
Visible crew/equipment: During the car chase in Spain, one of the black cars gets rammed by the other black car and rolls down a hill. If you watch carefully, you can see a crew member move behind a tree to avoid being hit by the rolling car.
Plot hole: Why doesn't the St. George's advanced military systems detect the mine before it is only a few meters away?
Continuity: When Locque's car crashes to the bottom of the cliff, it rolls over him as he is thrown out the window. In a later shot, the body is beside the wrecked car.
Continuity: When Bond and Melina are being chased in Melina's car, after they roll down the hill and hit the road, the tires actually bend under the car. Then when they drive again, they are straight.
Continuity: In the last scene with the watch and the parrot on the perch, the watch strap is fully open, however, when the parrot throws the watch in the water, the strap is closed.
Revealing: Kristatos wants to run over Bond and Melina by boat, after he took the Atac. Bond and the girl swim to the sea floor, waiting till Kristatos is gone. You can see the (shadow of) the anchor hanging on the left side of the ship. But in the previous scene, you will notice the anchor is in the middle, on deck! And second: these kind of (speed)boats do not have an anchor attached below the water line, because it will reduce the speed. Conclusion: the underwater scene is fake.
Revealing: When Locque's Mercedes starts to slide off the cliff at the end of the car chase you can see cables holding it up.
Audio problem: When Colombo pulls out Bond's gun it makes a noise like the top is pulled back. But he takes it out with one hand, and the hammer has not been pulled back. Even if he pulled back the hammer with a finger (which he doesn't) it wouldn't make that sound.
Continuity: In the final scene the parrot takes Bonds watch and drops it, and it falls into the water. That would require that the parrot sat on the ship's railing.
Character mistake: Bond's climbing method is ridiculous. Instead of knocking in carabiners as he goes, he hammers them in so far above the ground that if he fell, the length of drop would have killed him anyway.
Deliberate "mistake": After Bond has killed the guard on the cliff, his final carabiner is shown sliding away. But the gravel it dislodges is falling noticeably faster than gravity would take it, indicating that the clip has been sped up for dramatic reasons.
Continuity: When Bond is climbing up to the mountaintop fortress, he hammers in carabiners as he goes up. But when he falls down, the three carabiners are all level.
Factual error: The message written on the mirror in Bond's hotel room is far too clear to have been written before the steam got on the mirror. If it had been written before it would have been readable, but there would have been some steam in the letters themselves. No sticky substances are used to create the letters, because if there were, the letters would be visible before the steam came on the mirror, and there would be traces of it left when Bond wiped the mirror clean. Notice he just wipes it over once - and everything is gone.
Continuity: The ski jump in Cortina d'Ampezzo is in the bottom of the valley - which can also be seen in the overhead shot from the top of the ski jump. But nevertheless Bond has a long ski ride down from the bottom of the jump. And in several shots during the chase it is clear that he is much higher in the mountains than below the city.
Visible crew/equipment: In the first seconds of the car chase, when Melina's car drives off, a reflection of crew and equipment can be seen in the car's windows.
Continuity: Near the end when Kristatos slaps Bibi, you can see the difference between two takes.
Continuity: When Melina's car is hit by the machine gun, we see a close-up of the back end of the car, including the 2CV6 sign. Later in the car chase there suddenly is a Spanish national sticker (E) to the left of the 2CV6 sign.
Continuity: At the restaurant, when Colombo rewinds the tape in the lamp it passes over 2-3 sentences and then he plays the tape starting with the sentence 'But I must warn you.' But after that Bond and Kristatos exchanged 18 sentences, which lasts for approximately a minute before the lamp is removed from the table. Colombo did not rewind the tape that far.
Continuity: When Bond and Luigi meet at Tofana it is overcast. But in the next clip, at the ice rink, the sky is clear. And there can't be a large time gap, since Luigi says that Kristatos is waiting for them.
Continuity: When Bond and Melina are being chased in Melina's car, as they drive down the steep hill, Bond makes a witty remark and Melina starts laughing, then in the next shot she has a very serious look on her face.
Other: General Gogol's helicopter has Polish civilian markings, SP-(3 letters), repainted so they would resemble Soviet ones. However, Soviet markings were CCCP-(5 digits). When Gogol comes out of the helicopter, the manufacturer's logo (PZL-&346;widnik) is visible over his shoulder.
Continuity: When Melina is going to see her killed parents, they don't have blood on them but the shot later, her father has blood everywhere.
Continuity: Near the end of the movie, the scene at the monastery where Kristatos is about to leave, there is a shot of Bibi Dahl with braided hair. Later in the scene, her braid has disappeared.
Continuity: When Bond and Melina are in the shipwreck, underwater, and the guy inside the robot attacks, look at the Atac(when the robot man grabs it from Bond) and the scuba gears - they are wet but not like being underwater.
Revealing: When Bond and Melina are being chased in Melina's car, they are rolling upside down in a street of a small village. With help of some other people they tilt back the car on his wheels. At that moment you can see specially added roll bars mounted in the car to prevent the roof from crushing.
Continuity: In the opening scene with the helicopter, when we first see Blofeld there is a tall wall to the front left of him. But when we see him in the overhead shot and when Bond flies close by him, there is no such wall.
Continuity: When Bond and the countess start walking on the beach (and we see some divers jump in the water from a Zodiac) the water is totally calm. Not a wave in sight. But when Locke comes in the dune buggy, and we see an overhead shot, there are quite large waves.
Continuity: When Gonzales opens the suitcase with money the middle pile is taller than the others, and is more than one bundle of notes taller than the rim of the suitcase. In the next clip, when Gonzales grabs one of the bundles, the middle pile is no taller than the others or than the rim of the suitcase.
Revealing: When Bond pats Blofeld on the head in the helicopter sequence, Blofeld is a dummy.
Continuity: Right before Bond gets on the bobsled ramp, he puts one of his ski poles between two trees, leaving him with no ski poles (the other one was shot by the skiing expert). As Bond jumps onto the bobsled ramp, there is a quick shot with Bond holding one ski pole and after another quick shot, when Bond is on the ramp, the pole is gone.
Continuity: The bullet holes in the back of Melina's car change pattern and size several times during the car chase.
Revealing: When Bond and Melina are being chased in Melina's car, you can see an aerial view of the chase; and when each of the cars goes around the corner, the picture is sped up slightly
Visible crew/equipment: Right after 007 can escape by jumping from the ski tower, Christatos gets into his car. When the car drives away you can see clearly a part of the filming crew including a set of lights in the windows reflecting.
Continuity: When James is being chased by Eric the skiing expert he gets a ski pole shot out of his hand. He escapes by getting in an elevator going to the top of the ski jump. As he is going down the jump a guy bumps into him - James is only able to stay up because he has both poles again.
Continuity: In the casino scene, when Bunky makes his first bet, his two remaining piles of chips are totally straight. When he reaches for his cards, they are not.
Continuity: The angle from which the sunlight shines on Blofeld (and his cat) changes a lot during the helicopter sequence.
