Continuity: After Casey has turned down Harvard and is skating on the pond, she falls many times. When she falls for the fourth and final time, her hat falls off. In an overhead shot, the camera even shows it laying on the ground above her head. When she gets back up upon seeing Teddy with the zamboni, her hat has disappeared.

Factual error: The main character, as well as several peripheral characters, is supposedly on the amateur circuit (as opposed to the professional circuit). However, they use program music with lyrics. In the amateur circuit, only instrumental music is allowed; music with lyrics is only allowed on the professional circuit.

Continuity: In the scene where they show Casey on her computer with her mom standing there, the first shot of Casey shows she has a pen in her left ear. But in the next shot it is gone.

Factual error: When Casey is using her knowledge of physics to advise a figure skater, she states, "Pull your arms in real tight. That increases your moment of inertia". In fact, this is the exact opposite of how it really works. Reducing her overall radius makes her rotational inertia smaller.

Factual error: The scene with Kim Catrall's character buying Casey new boots in an attempt to hurt her performance would not actually happen that way. Brand new boots, even lower-quality ones, are as stiff as wood when first worn. Even if Casey wanted to skate in them right away, it would be physically impossible.

Continuity: When Gen comes up to Casey in school and hands her an invite to her boyfriend's party, the strap on her back pack is turned over, but in another shot it shows the strap turned right side up.

Continuity: When the kids are at the food counter wanting food, four hot dogs are next to Casey. One of the kids says he wants four hot dogs, so she grabs one and magically the other three are already in front of the boy.

Continuity: When Casey is skating on the pond after she leaves Harvard, she falls multiple times. The second time she falls, she lifts her right leg causing her foot to come into frame. On her feet you can clearly see that she's wearing black and green snow boots, even though seconds before that she was wearing white figure skates.
