Quotes

DMV Clerk: I'm sorry, sir, but we don't provide motorist information to the general public.

Trevor Reznik: I'm not just a member of the general public. This guy's a friend of mine.

DMV Clerk: But you don't know your friend's address?

Trevor Reznik: We just met. I don't know him that well.

DMV Clerk: Sir, this is the DMV, not a dating service.

Mistakes

When Trevor is following the red Firebird, he reads the plate number aloud as "743 CRN", and writes that on a piece of paper he shows the DMV later, yet the plate actually reads "CRN 743". This can be dismissed as the car being an illusion (tho why he'd say and write a number that isn't what he's imagining on the car is a paradox). But the 'mistake' in the film is that the correct number must be the one on paper, as it comes back as belonging to Trevor's own 'totaled' Firebird - yet it is exactly the reverse of the number on his current truck, "NRC 347" - and there's no chance one person would get both of them randomly issued by DMV. They aren't personalized/vanity plates either. See more...

Entry When Trevor is following Ivan through the tunnel, he reads the number plate out as NRC 743 on the red Firebird. When the shot changes to Trevor's pickup, the number plate reads 347 CRN. Could this be a clue to a mirror image twist?
Entry Christian Bale dropped approximately 60 pounds for the role, going from 180 to 120, by eating a diet of one can of tuna and an apple a day for months. This is the most weight ever lost by an actor for a film role.
