Mistake Deliberate "mistake": At the start when you see Alex, Tod and co. walking down the walkway to the plane you can see that their heads are almost touching the ceiling. You can tell it was shortened to make the path longer for the appropriate sequence and then after when they reach the turning the ceiling is much higher.

Mistake Other: Right before Terri is hit by the bus, there are puddles and wet patches all over the road and path. But when the bus actually makes contact with Terri, they all instantly disappear.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where Alex is watching the TV on how the plane exploded, look at the illustration shown. Then compare it with the illustration that appears on Alex's computer screen. The positions of the explosions shown are different.

Mistake Continuity: The scene where Clear is in the garage, she puts the car in drive, but somehow reverses the car through the garage door.

Mistake Character mistake: The scene where Clear is trapped in the car and Alex is trying to save her, he incorrectly tells her the tires are grounding the car and to not touch anything. Rubber tires insulate the car preventing the charge from reaching the ground. If Clear were to get out of the car touching metal on the car and the ground at the same time she could be the conduit for the charge to pass through.

Mistake Other: At the memorial service the principal says that it's been 39 days since 39 loved ones had died. But there were 40 students on the plane and 4 chaperones, making the total 44. Now 7 people got off the plane which means 37 people related to that memorial service actually died, not 39. Two pilots would make up the numbers, but there would be flight crew too, which still leaves the numbers off.

Mistake Factual error: The teens are traveling presumably along the Meadowbrook or Wantaugh parkways, when the enter Jones Beach. They see a sign just before the beach entrance that says "New York: 93 miles", when Jones Beach is less than 15 miles from NYC limits and approximately 25-30 miles from Manhattan.

Mistake Continuity: In the "original" version of the plane crash you can see that Alex fastens his seatbelt in a direct closeup shot. When he awakens from his premonition the seatbelt should be fastened because he did so before Christa and Blake asked him to change places. He doesn't remove it though in the second version of the plane crash before he rushes to Todd.

Mistake Revealing: In the scene where Carter drives madly down the road to get to Alex, and Billy is riding his bike along the street, just before Billy gets knocked off you can clearly see it is a stunt double.

Mistake Continuity: At the end when Clear is in the car, trying to get away, she knocks over a can of turpentine. When you look at the can again it has changed the way in which it fell.

Mistake Continuity: After Mrs. Lewton closes the kettle lid, it is open in the next shot.

Mistake Continuity: People sitting beside Alex disappear at the funeral.

Mistake Continuity: The pump removed from Tod's neck, in the morgue, reappears.

Mistake Continuity: The match Mrs. Lewton lights is obviously way too long for the matchbox.

Mistake Revealing: When Terri steps onto the road and is killed by the speeding bus, the bus is travelling from left to right when it hits her. But, if you look further down the street, where the bus supposedly had just come from (a few seconds earlier, during the dialogue between the other characters), the camera pans round and you can see a large yellow crane blocking off the entire road, so the bus could not have actually come from that direction.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When he is in the cabin opening the can the pull tab is already lifted up making it easier to open because he is wearing gloves. It was already up when he took the wrapper off.

Mistake Audio problem: The wheels of the police car screech when there's gravel on the street.

Mistake Continuity: When Ms. Lewton dies, she is grabbing her bleeding neck with her left hand. While walking into the kitchen, she leans onto the kitchen table with her right hand. Later in the scene, when Alex comes and tries to help her, we see the bloody left hand impression on the table, even though we should see the right one.

Mistake Factual error: When Alex and Clear are in the café, you can see a Panago Pizza down the street. Panago Pizza's do not have outlets in the States.

Mistake Continuity: When Alex is talking to Clare in her garage, one strand of her hair keeps changing, first curled under, and then straight, back and forth...
