The Clearing

Arnold (Willem Dafoe) is not working with anybody and there is no cabin. He kills Wayne (Robert Redford) and gives directions to Wayne's wife Eileen (Helen Mirren) on where to deliver the ransom money (by the time she delivers the money, Wayne is already dead). Arnold takes the money and spends some of it on purpose, to get caught and turn himself in, out of guilt of what he has done. Eileen reads the piece of paper that Wayne wrote earlier in the movie and it says: "I feel the same way like the day our daughter was born. If you love me then I have everything I need."
