Continuity: When the snake with the message "Impostor" written on it twirls around Uncle Monty's wrist, it's perfectly aligned on his wrist - its tail is by Monty's wrist and the head is pointing up his arm. When it cuts, the head is now by the wrist and the tail is pointing up the arm.

Continuity: When Count Olaf is welcoming the Baudelaires he reach out his hand for Violet and says "Enchante", and you can see his fingers are separated. When it cuts his fingers are clenched.

Continuity: When Count Olaf and the Baudelaires are driving home from court, Olaf says "Children, I've been contemplating our situation." while looking at the kids in the mirror. It cuts as he says "situation" but now he is suddenly looking straight forward at the road.

Deliberate "mistake": When Sunny picks up the Scrabble letter, you can hear her biting a piece of it. But when she places it on the board, you can see it hasn't been chewed on. It looks exactly the same as when she picked it up.

Continuity: When Violet is signing the 'B' in her last name on the marriage certificate, she connects the 'B' below the line. The shot switches. When it switches back as Violet's signing the 'd', the 'B' is connected above the line.

Audio problem: When Count Olaf, dressed as Stephano, runs away and takes off in his car the tires screech. However the road outside Uncle Monty was of dust and sand, not asphalt.

Continuity: When they enter Monty's reptile room the first time there is a lizard and two turtles walking on the floor. When it cuts the creatures have totally changed position.

Continuity: When Mr. Poe and the Baudelaires first meet Justice Strauss she says that she is Count Olaf's neighbour, it cuts to a view up Olaf's driveway. At the corner of the sidewalk on the left of the screen you can see a tree standing. You can also see that Poe's car is parked right across it. Two shots later when Poe and the Baudelaires walk up Olaf's porch, look between Poe and the Baudelaires. Both the tree and the car are gone.

Continuity: As Count Olaf with his acting troupe enters the house and one of them says "Ugly little people," there's a red can and a yellow box beside Violet and Klaus. Two shots later, the two items have suddenly moved closer to them.

Continuity: When Aunt Josephine hands over the photo album to Violet, it is open to a page with a colored picture. As Violet grabs the album, that picture is gone - it's suddenly open on a different page.

Continuity: When the children sail away from Curdled Cave with their aunt, the rudder of the boat is missing. The rudder is seen in the shot when they go in and the little baby is at the helm.

Continuity: When the door handle explodes, Violet and Klaus throw themselves to the floor. When lying on the floor their hands change between shots from being close to each other to far away from each other.

Continuity: When Violet launch the elf head at the train switching device, the elf head lands at least three feet away from the train tracks. When it cuts the elf head is lying right next to the tracks.

Continuity: When Olaf says that the children aren't to enter the tower we see Sunny holding her hand down. When it cuts she has her hand up by Violet's chest.

Continuity: At the end, when the Baudelaires walks into their house, we see in a wide shot that they walk up a step on the stairs. When it cuts we see them walk up the same step again.

Continuity: As Violet approach the closet where the anchor is hanging she has her right hand up by her waist. When it cuts, it's down.

Continuity: When the train is passing right in front of the car the train signal to the right of the screen is on with a red light. When it cuts the light is suddenly off. It would never have been turned off until the last car of the train had passed.

Continuity: When Violet and Klaus are setting the table for dinner we can see a chair right next to the edge of the table (on the opposite side of the rehearsing room). But when Violet and Klaus are done setting the table and Violet places the cup of cutlery on the table, the chair has been moved and can't be seen. When it cuts the chair is back.

Continuity: When Violet is telling about that time when their parents had written a long letter that got lost in the mail, her ponytail hangs behind her right ear. When it cuts, it's over her ear.

Continuity: As Uncle Monty comes and greets Stephano, Stephano says "Oops, you caught me being a mentor" while bowing down and lowering his arm. When it cuts from behind Stephano he is still standing and lowering his arm again without bowing.
