Mistakes
Near the beginning of the movie when Ben, Ian and Riley are in snow CATS and we see Riley's computer screen, viewed a little from the left, and there is a jiggling hula dancer, supposedly mounted on his keyboard surface. In the background, a window has popped up showing the location and route of the two CATS. Then we hear alarm go off and we see almost the same shot but a little closer in on the computer screen. The hula girl is missing. The difference in angle and "zoom level" could not account for not seeing the hula girl in the second shot. See more...

The interiors of the ship Charlotte were filmed inside the Union Ice Company in Los Angeles to give the scene a more realistic feel. Also, the crew from the Charlotte was dressed in costumes borrowed from The Pirates of the Caribbean; The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Andrew Jackson's 1832 White House was actually filmed at the Daughters of the American Revolution Building in DC.
When Ben meets Abigail for the first time he comments on her accent being "Pennsylvania Dutch". She replies with "Saxony German". Diane Kruger, who plays Abigail, is actually from Algermissen, Lower Saxony, Germany. So she wasn't lying.
The Arctic scene at the beginning of the film with Charlotte was filmed in Utah at the Strawberry Reserve over 3 days and there was an unexpected blizzard.
In the scene where Ian (Sean Bean) is figuring out the clue, revealing Silence Dogood to him (when he realises this is a name), you see on the paper a few random doodles, including 3 pipes and at the top of the page two crossed swords, These swords are actually a reference to his favourite football (as is soccer) team Sheffield United, as the crossed swords are the team's symbol.
