Visible crew/equipment: While in the pot field, just as the growers are about to shoot them with the laser sights, you can see a crewmember crawling by in the background.

[Tom, Dan and Jerry have just fallen over a waterfall in a canoe and have made their way to land.]
Dan: I must have been crazy. I... All right. This trip is officially over. This is finished! Let's, let's just go home.
Tom: I agree. That's a great decision. All we gotta do is jump up over that 100-foot waterfall, swim upstream 20 miles, get the sheriff on the phone ... he liked us, I remember. And he'll send out a rescue boat. And ... Hey there's a beer in the river. Cool.
Without a Paddle (2004) - 34 mistakes
Directed by Steven Brill, starring Matthew Lillard, Seth Green (add more)
Continuity: We see Tom standing in the river catching fish, yet when they start running from the bear, the water is gone.
Other: When they're with the women in the redwood, the one says that she's "all natural" and shows her hairy legs. Later they are both dancing around with their arms over their heads and their armpits aren't hairy. If they were "all natural" they wouldn't shave their pits either.
Revealing: Briefly, while Seth Green was being pulled from the river, you can see that the rope behind him is taut, nearly perpendicular to the current. He was pulling himself across a rope that was anchored on both sides.
Continuity: When the trio fall down the shaft, a small wooden beam falls on Tom's leg, but when the shot changes the beam is next to his leg.
Continuity: In the scene where Tom, Jerry and Dan go into the tree house after the funeral, it is dark and they have flashlights. Then a second later it is light outside.
Other: After the funeral, the guys visit the clubhouse. They open the box for DB Cooper's treasure. The blood they used to sign their blood oath is too red to have been 20 year old blood. It should have darkened to deep, deep purple or brown by now.
Continuity: Right after the 3 guys fall off the waterfall, Tom lays on the ground. You can see that his pants have a lot of dirt on them. But in the next scene Tom is getting up to make his point to Dan, and there is no dirt on his pants.
Continuity: Near the end, when Tom, Jerry, and Dan are about to be shot by the two hillbillies and the cop, there is a brief scene that shows all three guns being loaded from a side view. The gun closest to the camera is a handgun. When the camera zooms out, all three men have rifles. There is no handgun to be seen.
Plot hole: The Hillbillies take a "short cut" to catch up with the guys after they are taken in by Burt Reynolds. However, the guys get a chance to sleep comfortably until morning before being confronted by them.
Continuity: While up in the Fort Cooper tree house, after the three friends get their treasured possessions back, Dan reaches down to pick up a mix tape with the DJ intros on it. When he picks it up, C-3PO is still in his right hand, but from a different angle C-3PO is not in his hand with the mix tape. There is not enough time for him to put C-3PO down. Then after Jerry unfolds the map, Dan doesn't have the mix tape in his hands.
Continuity: When the three friends are going through their DB Cooper treasure box, Jerry picks up Dan's C-3PO collectible. Just as he picks it up, a split second later from another angle, he is holding C-3PO differently and C-3PO is also at a different angle.
Continuity: When Tom arrives at Billy's funeral, he takes the goggles off and holds them in his left hand. But, when Tom is walking to where Jerry and Dan are his goggles are not in either hand.
Visible crew/equipment: When the 3 guys are in the pot field, Dan dodges the bullet, you can see the camera's shadow pass across him.
Other: As 2 of the trio are in the store just before meeting the cop, one is on his cell phone. In one of the frontal shots of him talking, you can see the other two approach from behind then suddenly back up quickly. As said on the commentary, they didn't get a cue to go, and then realized they were wrong and backed up.
Factual error: The hairy girls claim they are in a giant Redwood named Earthchild. The only Redwood trees in Oregon are in the far South West corner very near the coast and mostly over the border of California. D. B. Cooper was supposed to have landed North of Portland.
Continuity: In the pot shack scene Dax Shepard is holding the package of pot to his side, you see him slowly move it behind his back to hide it from the two hillbillies. In the next scene, after they flash back from the hillbillies, it's back at his side and he's once again slowly moving it to his back. Shepard, and the other cast, admit this is a mistake in the commentary.
Factual error: When the 3 guys have just safely gone through the rapids, they hear a roaring sound. This is leading to a waterfall. The water around them and the leaves in the water are perfectly still. A few seconds later they are going over the waterfall. A river just before a waterfall would have a strong current leading to the waterfall. this should have been the case with the river, but there was no current whatsoever prior to the waterfall.
Visible crew/equipment: In the shot of the three guys urinating, look at their backs. The one on the far left has a visible battery pack, which "looks like a lunch box" as said on the commentary.
Continuity: The Bear ate Dan's cell phone and it was in her stomach until Jerry found it in the bear poop. There is a picture of a bear on the cell phone screen, after Jerry becomes overwhelmed with the fact that Denise broke up with him - but there wasn't any chance for a picture to be taken of a bear.
Factual error: This is for the whole pot burning scene. When marijuana plants are burned while still being a alive, you can't get high. THC and all the cannabinoids don't become psychoactive until the plant has fully flowered and all moisture content has been removed. Even if the live plants could've caught fire and burned so easily, all the guys would have got from them would've been a headache.
Continuity: When the guys are in the tree house right after Dan tells the girls about using the pussy willow reeds you can see Tom just about to take a drink from a canteen, then maybe a second later in the very next shot it shows Jerry taking the canteen from Dan and passing it on around the circle.
Continuity: When Jerry is using the radio, the cord has a little bit of cloth near the mic end. Then when Jerry gives the mic to Flower, to give the location, the whole cord is covered in cloth.
Factual error: During their first night's camping, they encounter a bear..a Kodiak bear. Unfortunately, the only bears found in Oregon's Cascade Mountains are black bears.
Continuity: The 3 guys have just gone through some heavy rapids. As the rapids slowed two of them are on top of the canoe. They call out for Tom and then again for Tommy. Between the two call outs the shot changes. In the first shot the river is still flowing swiftly. During the next shot when Tommy is called and found under the canoe, the river is at a stand still. This scene was filmed in 2 different parts of the river.
Continuity: After the two hillbillies return to their burned-out field of pot, you can see them stepping on lots of burned tree branches thicker and longer than anything that could have come from one of the plants. What are tree branches doing in a clearing?
Continuity: When Tom, Dana, and Jerry go over the waterfall, the canoe breaks apart into three pieces upon hitting the bottom; the next scene, when they are on land, the canoe is in a multitude of pieces.
Continuity: After the canoe overturns and one of the trio gets on and surfs on it, watch his blue shirt as it is wet, to dry, to wet, throughout the rest of the river run.
Factual error: Right after the water fight on the first day of canoeing, you can see some kind of palm trees in the background. We also see some when the guys are climbing up the hill right before they find the girls in the tree. There are no palm trees in the wilds of Oregon.
Continuity: When the three first arrive in the small town, Jerry walks past a garage as he is talking on the phone. From the outside you see two guys standing on either side of a truck. When they show them in a close up, they are standing together.
Revealing: After Billy's funeral when the guys are in their old tree house and they're opening up the box with their valuables in it they ask for the combination, but you can clearly see that the lock is not shut/latched, there is no reason to open it.
Deliberate "mistake": When it starts raining so that "things couldn't be worse" according to Seth Green, the younger fat hillbilly pulls out an umbrella. Whey would he have one when he is trying to hunt someone down and kill them? This was obviously put in for comedic purposes but doesn't play well in the movie.
Continuity: When Matthew Lillard is talking about not having responsibility and that surfing is what he loves while the guys are by the camp fire, his sweat jacket is unzipped in one shot as he lays back. The next shot it is zipped up completely. After he stands up the zipper is now unzipped halfway down his sweat jacket.
Visible crew/equipment: When Billy drives away you can see the boom mike operator reflected in the side window of the car.
