Other: Just before entering Robertson's office after climbing the stairs, Spooner is behind Sonny with a flashlight. The light shines on Sonny's back and the door, but Sonny does not cast a shadow. Submitted by Kristal

Factual error: The bridge that used to cross Lake Michigan would not be able to stand like that in real life. The road section should be collapsed, since the suspension cables are not reaching the other tower to the bridge. A suspension bridge works by having the giant cables between the towers having the smaller cables suspend the roads and relies on the presence of a second tower. With the second tower missing, even if the road section did not completely collapse, the cables would be taut under the weight of the bridge, not still in their curved configuration as seen in the film. Any futuristic material used in the construction is irrelevant - this is simply how the suspension bridge design functions.

Continuity: Scenes showing the elevator descending from outside the elevator at the USR building are MUCH faster than the scenes showing its speed descending from inside. They don't even come close to matching.

Continuity: Close to the end, when Spooner goes to help his friend, the camera cuts to the lad running down the street, and there is no car, yet when Del appears, his motorbike bounces off a car, that wasn't there in the previous shot.

Continuity: At the beginning of the film when Del goes to USR Robotics, there is a shot that pans up to Dr Lanning's body, if you notice his eyes are either closed or barely open, yet in the following shot they are much further open.

Continuity: At the end, when Dr Calvin Del and Sonny are in Robertson's office, when Sonny starts to trick Viki, Calvin has her body side on, then she is completely facing Sonny, then back to side on, then finally back to facing Sonny again.

Continuity: Close to the end of the film when we see Del on his motorbike, he calls base, just after he gets cut off, he brakes for the traffic in front of him, but if you slow it down, he actually brakes twice.

Continuity: At the very beginning of the film when Del wakes up he reaches over to turn off his alarm clock. The red book, whose cover was partially under another book in a prior shot, has now moved.

Continuity: When we see Del at Lake Michigan, and he puts down the hologram to speak to Dr Lanning, the silver letters on his necklace comes out of his shirt, in the following shots they are back in his shirt.

Other: In the beginning of the Ovaltine Cafe scene, the TV on the wall shows the d.o.b and d.o.d of Lanning. It says 1921-2015, but at the beginning of the film the year is shown as 2035. According to the TV Lanning would have been 94 years old when he died, but he was said to be 114 years old.

Revealing: In the climax of the movie when Spooner and Calvin are fighting off the robots, there is a shot of Spooner standing on one of the catwalks shooting the robots as the camera spins around vertically. At the end of this shot if you look closely you can see Spooner's neck stretch out as if he was getting choked well before the robot actually grabs him.

Continuity: Right before the Demolition Robot starts tearing through the house, Spooner is talking to the cat, and in the close up shots of the cat it is sitting down, but in the shots of Spooner with the cat, it is standing up.

Continuity: Close to the beginning of the film when we see Del and his boss in the bar drinking together, just before Del leaves, you see his boss put his hand up to his head, in one shot, you can see he actually has a closed fist to his head, then in the following shot, his hand is open and on top of his head.

Continuity: At the start of the film when Del is in the USR building and is looking over Dr Lanning's body, if you notice the shoe changes position from being not far from the body to some distance, also, it changes direction from the first time we see it, we are looking at the heel of the boot or the front, then it is completely side on in the next shot.

Continuity: At the beginning of the movie, Spooner turns on his CD player-ish thing and the music starts (timestamp at 0:00). Two or three seconds later (with no interruption in the music), the player is seen again, showing a timestamp of 10 seconds. Submitted by Sereenie

Other: James Cromwell's character's name is Dr Lanning - yet in separate scenes he is called Dr Lanning and Dr Manning by Del and Susan respectively. In a later scene Del and Susan are talking to each other but continue to call the Cromwell character by two different names.

Continuity: The time shown on the video that Will Smith watches in the Doctor's house jumps backwards - we see it count up to about 24 seconds, then we cut away from it (still hearing the video playing) for about 10 seconds, then when we cut back it's only up to about 26 seconds. Factual error: If Dr. Alfred Lanning had fallen from the massive height that he did in the film, his body would have been in a much more mangled state.

Factual error: When Del Spooner jumps down from the control panel level of VIKI to get to her brain and inject the nano-robots, he tries to slow his fall by holding onto the glowing pipes. He lets go rather far from the platform above. Considering that he is already falling very fast, he should have landed very hard and cringed from the impact, but he merely landed and absorbed the impact by bending his knees. That would not be possible.
