Trivia

Chief Hinges (Bill Duke) mentions he fought in Vietnam. In 'Commando' (1985), his character was a Green Beret, and in 'Predator' (1987), all the characters (including Bill Duke) wear Vietnam surplus gear, even though the film is set in 1987. See more...

Mistake Continuity: In the opening, when Boyd is walking towards the cops standing at the side of the motorbikes, one cop changes his position between shots.

Mistake Continuity: At the start of the bridge scene, there is a shot of the bridge and the street in the background with loads of people standing on both sides of the street (and cars as well), but when the camera cuts to a shot of the yellow lorry (truck) pulling onto the bridge, everything that we saw in the previous shot has gone.

Mistake Continuity: During the bridge shootup scene the cops on the bikes shoot at a police car (in front of the vehicles carrying the VP), and it swerves then hits the bridge. In the following shot looking back at the SUV's, there is no crashed police car at the side of the bridge.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: During the bridge shootup scene when two cops are at the side of the bridge with motorcycles, Boyd hits the cop closest to the bridge and we see it is a dummy.

Mistake Continuity: During the bridge scene, the chopper fires upon two cars, one black and one greyish that drive past Boyd's car. If you watch closely, the position of the body on the floor wearing the white clothing changes dramatically during shots.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": Just before Boyd shoots the helicopter, he saves the VP by pushing a bad guy into the side of the SUV, and Boyd raises the bad guy's hand to fire on the other bad guy. The weapon changes dramatically to the one that Boyd fires at the other bad guy.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When Boyd has saved the Vice President's life after chucking him into the water, Boyd looks down at the VP who is being dragged out. Suddenly, there is a picture taken that appears in papers, but there was no press or person on the bridge where Boyd is with a camera, so where did the photograph come from?

Mistake Continuity: Close to the beginning of the film, when Steven Seagal walks out to his car, Chinese guys are trying to break in. When Tom Arnold runs into the scene you can see in one shot one of the Chinese guys already has his pistol visible, but a couple of shots later he reveals his pistol again.

Mistake Continuity: When Boyd goes to the city records hall, only to come across a family tied up on the floor, look at the cleaning trolley in the background, the blue brush changes direction between the first and second shot.

Mistake Continuity: When Boyd and George pull up outside of TK's club "The Static", in a shot from outside of the passenger window Boyd is holding onto the steering wheel with his left hand, but when it cuts to a shot from outside the drivers window Boyd's right hand is on the steering wheel.

Mistake Continuity: When Boyd is in TK's nightclub, Boyd kicks TK he falls backwards into the bar, yet, in the following shot he hits the bar on his front.

Mistake Revealing: As they make their escape from the club, DMX and Anthony Anderson jump on a box to climb over a dumpster. DMX steps on it with no problems, AA crushes it and can't climb over. A closer look shows that DMX stepped on the right (a reinforced bit) and AA steps on the left. However, the box only collapses on the left, rather than evenly, giving away where the support is.

Mistake Continuity: When Boyd is searching TK's office, the black cop sits down and puts his left hand on his head, yet in the following shot, he has his right hand on his head.

Mistake Continuity: When Segal is held captive in the speeding black van, one of the captors is pushed out the side door by Segal and is crushed when the passenger side of the van hits a row of parked cars - one of the side doors gets knocked off but a few shots later, as the van is scraping past a line of cars, the door's back on.

Mistake Revealing: Near the end, when Latrell Walker is showing Boyd his operation and they watch "tape 8", the view is not from a hidden camera perspective.

Mistake Continuity: Close to the end of the film, Boyd falls off of his motorbike, and the shot returns to the guys in the car, if you look out of the windscreen window, you can see Steven Seagal is already turned facing the car, but in the following shot, he turns again.

Mistake Continuity: DMX changes from a sweat suit into a shiny crimson suit and leaves his apartment only to come back in the same sweat suit.

Mistake Continuity: The bridge scene at the beginning was filmed on two different months in Calgary shortly after bridge construction. One of the shots in the scene shows a stone lion statue on the side of the finished bridge. In other shots, the lions haven't been placed on the bridge yet.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Boyd is riding a bike down an alley trying to escape Useldinger & Montini he dodges two big trashcans but his followers hits them making them fly onto the street. In the scene where the two trashcan comes out on the street you can see a wire pulling one of them towards the phone booth.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When DMX changes into the suit and closes the closet, there appears to be some crew reflected in the doors of the closet.
