Other mistake: When Casey's men are robbing the Triads, Abbott says "Don't move or you're dead." He then turns to his left, and while facing left, he shoots two of the red Mercedes' tires. However, he is standing directly behind the Mercedes, so it would be impossible for him to turn to his left and shoot two of the car's tires.

haron

Continuity mistake: During the chase scene, Abbott shoots a member of the Triads in the leg. A police car arrives and cuts across the road, parking within several feet of the flaming car. Three shots later we see the police car is about twenty feet away from the flaming car, and is on the opposite side of the road.

Other mistake: After Charlie and Brian steal the Triad's money, a chase scene breaks out involving yelling, gunfire, and an exploding car. However, after Charlie and Brian run out of gas in the Toyota, there are instances of people walking around in the background as if nothing is happening. One person is carrying groceries while another calmly walks through a parking lot.

haron

Continuity mistake: During basketball game, Charlie spins the ball on his finger. From behind we see the girl in the blue 4 shirt standing almost alone. After a brief close up of Charlie's face, there are four girls surrounding her.

haron

Audio problem: In the shower scene, one of the girls says "today is my birthday" but her lips say "tomorrow is my birthday". This is also noteworthy because other circumstantial evidence suggests that an extra day has been edited out of the film.

haron

Continuity mistake: Shortly after the basketball shower scene, Sister Mary says "you're quite right, I'll look after them" over the span of two shots. During this span the position of her book changes from lying flat on the table to being held upright in her hands, and the opened page changes from somewhere in the middle to the very beginning.

haron

Continuity mistake: Faith starts her new job at Casey's and Brian sits down for a drink. During this scene the citrus fruit in Brian's drink appears to change from a lemon lying flat on the liquid to a lime tilted out of the liquid.

haron

Revealing mistake: Near the beginning of the film, when Charlie and Brian steal the Honda there is a shot where Brian says "Charlie, slow down, think". By comparing the view outside of the car window in this shot to the surroundings of the previous and subsequent shots, we can see that it was filmed out of sequence, and in a different part of the parking lot.

haron

Revealing mistake: While running away from Morley and Abbott and the Triads, there is a shot where Charlie and Brian take cover behind a red car. This single shot is the amalgamation of two different shots because the camera suddenly jerks to the side, as seen by the position of the "Priority Avenue" sign in the background.

haron

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, a waitress brings Charlie a steak. At the end of her first shot she is holding onto the plate with one hand, and at the beginning of the next shot she is suddenly holding onto the plate with both hands.

haron

Revealing mistake: During the robbery of the Triads, Charlie and Brian put a bomb in Abbott and Morley's car. In the shot of the car blowing up, the car is parallel to a brick wall. However, there was no brick wall near the car when Abbott and Morley parked it.

haron

Brian Hope: Look Charlie, some con men sell life insurance. The church sells afterlife insurance. It's brilliant! Everyone thinks you might need it, and no-one can prove you don't.
Charlie McManus: The church isn't selling anything, Brian.
Brian Hope: Oh! Well, if the church isn't selling anything how did it get to be so rich? Just remember, wherever there's a deep human need there's money to be made.
Charlie McManus: You think so?
Brian Hope: Of course, look at Kentucky Fried Chicken.
