Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, the sheriff is shooting at Charles' mother. He shoots a vase of yellow flowers. Then seconds later, he shoots the same vase.
Captain Soames: Look, you got one hysterical girl with a very vivid imagination and all that girl needs is a good smack on the butt and her mommy and daddy won't do it, I'll be happy to volunteer.
Trivia: Lyman Ward and Cindy Pickett, who play Tanya's parents, also played the parents of Ferris in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
