Alright I understand all but one part of the movie. Why was Clem acting all weird and freaks out during the movie? For example when she tells Patrick "I'm getting old, I'm disappearing, nothing makes any sense." And why was Patrick using Joel's diary entries and other stuff on Clem? [Clem is slowly becoming aware that her mind has been tampered with, and gets regular flashes of deja vu when talking to Patrick, who is using Joel's diary in order to get closer to her, sometimes conducting exact conversations that Joel and Clem shared during their relationship, which naturally causes her to become a little disorientated.]
Mistakes
In the scene where Clementine is getting ready to go out, Joel spreads ketchup across his neck and lies on the floor. Shots later, when Clementine has left, Joel sits on the couch and wipes it off, only there's no ketchup on his neck. Instead he wipes it off from his lips and cheek. See more...
Trivia
There is a carnival scene in the movie which actually took place in Times Square in New York. The cast and crew had to run around after it to get a perfect shot. See more...

Why is there so much blue symbolism in Kate Winslet's house. I know her hair is blue, but are we to believe she changes the colour of everything in her house when she changes her hair colour (which is often, apparently)? [Psychologists believe blue is a 'peaceful' color, as opposed to agressive colors like red. Experiments seem to show that people are genuinely effected emotionally by use of colors. Blue would promote a clear, calm - dare I say spotless - mind. Note this is also used in Forrest Gump; almost everything Gump wears is blue, suggesting again his calm, uncluttered thoughts.]
It was mentioned several times throughout the movie that Lacuna Inc gets really busy on Valentines, and also at Joel's place when the tech guy tells Patrick to stop fooling around as they have to get moving to other jobs... So what happened to all the other clients since the remainder of the night was spent at Joel's place? [When the techs are packing up then next morning, the young guy (Kirsten's boyfriend) says something about having to get to the next job. So its safe to assume the erasure takes a good 8 hours to complete normally but Joel kept fighting them so it would have taken a little longer.]
