The band playing at the Bar Mitzvah is the same band from Old School who sung at Frank's wedding.
In the end when Starsky is given the new Torino, the two men giving it to him are the actors (Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul) who played Starsky and Hutch in the original 1970s TV series.
Will Ferrell goes uncredited for his role as the dragon-loving inmate.
The song that Hutch (Owen Wilson) sings was originally sung by David Soul, who played Hutch in the TV series.
Towards the end at the raffle, Starsky is disguised as a old man who keeps saying "Do it." This character was made famous by Ben Stiller (who played Starsky) in "The Ben Stiller Show," a TV program from the early 1990s.
David Soul, who played Hutch in the popular TV series, insists that he and Paul Michael Glaser made the show popular, and not the red and white vehicle they used. David says something to the effect of: 'We made that show. The both of us. Not the car. Screw the car. Paul and I were the stars, not that piece of junk.'
The song playing on the radio after Starsky and Hutch go to see Big Earl (played by Will Ferrell) is the same song that Will Ferrell's character sang in Anchorman.
