Continuity: When the four friends are walking to the Vatican, they have their backpacks on. In the next shot they reach the Vatican, but their backpacks are missing.

Scott: Yeah... um, listen. We're trying to get to Berlin, Germany. Do you know if there's a train coming anytime soon?
Tibor: Oh yes! Very soon! They are building it now!
Trivia
As Cooper stated at the vandersexxx: the "safeword" is really not a word, it's complete nonsense. The letters are taken from several European languages. One letter, the €, is the symbol for the Euro, the EU currency. See more...
Eurotrip (2004) - 56 mistakes
starring Kristin Kreuk, Matt Damon, Michelle Trachtenberg (add more)
Continuity: After the graduation, we see Scott writing an e-mail to Meike for the first time in the movie. He writes nearly a line, stops, and the next shot of the computer screen shows that there is about three lines just as he starts typing again.
Factual error: Near the beginning of the film there is a map of Europe with the countries coloured in using their respective flags. Great Britain is coloured with the Union Jack (Union Flag) pattern but so is Southern Ireland (Eire). Southern Ireland is not part Great Britain, only the British Isles - they are a separate country and the Union jack is not their country's flag. Only the north or the Irish landmass (Northern Ireland) and Britain should show the Union Jack. If they are using an "old map" it would have to be very old, before the 1920's.
Continuity: When Scotty and Cooper leave for London, the airplane taking off has an engine on its tail. The very next shot is of a different airplane that has no engine on its tail.
Continuity: In the scene where the gang is at the Vatican and Jenny tells the guard that Cooper is retarded you see cooper bite into the ice cream cone and it falls apart. However when you see Cooper a few seconds later and the guard talks to him the ice cream cone is back to its original shape.
Continuity: When Mieke and Scott get out of the confessional, Mieke's dress is unzipped. When she walks away in the next shot, it is zipped.
Continuity: When Cooper wears the burning hat, the fire is burning roughly the top third of the hat, yet, in the following shots where he tosses it back and forth with Scott, then throws it in the fireplace, only the tip is burning and everything underneath the small flame is undamaged.
Continuity: When Scott tells Cooper he's in love with his pen pal, Scott crosses his arms over his chest. The shot changes and now Scott is leaning forward with his arms resting on the computer desk.
Continuity: In the train station when Jenny meets Cristoph, the trains appear and disappear several times.
Continuity: When Cooper is in the hot tub with Candy, there's a blue towel on the chair to left of him. At the very end of the scene, the towel changes to a pinkish striped towel.
Continuity: When Scotty and Cooper first arrive in London, Cooper puts his phone up to his ear twice.
Continuity: The order of the multi colored phallus sex toys on the gasoline-powered machine in Club Vandersexxx changes between shots.
Continuity: When Cooper is at the sex club and the dominatrix Madame Vandersexxx hands him the paper with the safe word on it, he takes it and goes to put it in his shirt pocket. The scene cuts and he is holding it in front of him again, then in a few seconds puts it in his shirt pocket.
Factual error: Absinthe is a very bright pale green, but it does not glow in the dark as seen in the film.
Continuity: When Jenny, Jamie, Cooper, and Scott are walking down the Amsterdam highway, they switch places from shot to shot. First shot we see is of their feet and you can see Jenny is on the left hand side in front, and Jamie is on the right hand side in back. The shot cuts and now Jamie is in front, left hand side, and Jenny is on the right hand side in front. When the shot changes again they switch shots.
Continuity: When Scott yells to Fiona that the leather jacket isn't his, the shot changes to Scott's father starting to walk over to Scott, and he's carrying a cloth in his hand. In the next shot the cloth has disappeared.
Continuity: When they all get into the back of the truck when trying to hitchhike to Berlin, Scotty simply pulls the cover closed without securing it. But in the next shot, when the truck is pulling away, the cover is fully secured. The driver never got out of the truck so he couldn't have closed it himself, and the cover, very obviously, has to be secured from the outside.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Scotty and Cooper are waking up on the bus, behind their heads is a shiny soccer trophy where you can see a man holding a microphone and another guy with a camera.
Factual error: When the group is seen traveling down the road next to the "walls" of St. Peter's square, the Roman Colosseum can be seen behind them. This is incredibly impossible because the Colosseum is far outside of the Vatican City Walls.
Other: When Scott is writing Mieke back for the first time, we see him typing on the keyboard, but no letters appear on the screen.
Continuity: When we first see Scott's computer, if you look to the left of it you can see the corner of a book very close to the computer (I am assuming it is the dictionary). In the next shot the desk next to the computer is empty and the dictionary is further over to the left.
Continuity: When cooper jumps into the hot tub with candy, the shot from Candy's back shows her arms are open. But when it goes to the next shot of her face, her arms are closed, covering her chest.
Continuity: At the Vatican, when Scotty first sees Mieke, she has her hair in a ponytail, and her hair is straight. After the sex in the confessional, as she is leaving to catch her boat, her hair is curly.
Continuity: When the group is at the dinner table in Paris, Jenny says "We can go to Denmark," and Cooper has his wine glass in his hand. In the next shot we see Cooper, and his arm is down with no wine glass. In the next shot, the glass is back in his hand again.
Continuity: In the Vatican confessional, a woman comes to confess and sees Mieke's behind through the window. The camera angles from the inside and outside don't match up to make this possible.
Factual error: Near the end of the movie, when Mieka is shown in the Vatican, she is wearing a dress without any sleeves that does not cover all of her legs. This would never be allowed in the Vatican because of the dress code, which is long pants and long sleeves, and the same holds true for men's attire, such as shorts.
Continuity: In the scene where Cooper visits the Amsterdam pleasure house, he is given a safe word. When he is given this word, the woman directly on his left, the one in the pink sparkle shirt, you can see her breasts and not under her shirt. When she goes to strap his ankle to the metal structure in the next shot, her breasts are under her shirt. When she straps his wrist to the same structure two seconds later, her breasts are back out again.
Continuity: At the end of the movie while Cooper is hugging Jamie at the airport, Jamie switches the bag he is holding from his right hand to his left hand. When the shot changes, the bag is back in his right hand.
Continuity: When Fiona hands Scott the Letter Jacket, the shot cuts to a tighter view, and the people behind Scott change from one shot to the next.
Continuity: After Jaime introduces his Leica M7, he switches from swatting Scotty with his left hand to his right hand and back.
Audio problem: When the four friends are in a French restaurant and Scotty, Cooper, and Jenny are trying to persuade Jamie to join them on their quest to Germany, Scotty's line is heard as "I Love Denmark," but his mouth forms the words "I Love Amster," as if he was in the process of saying Amsterdam before the shot changed.
Deliberate "mistake": When Madame Vandersexxx writes the safe word onto the piece of paper, she writes it way too fast and scribbly for it to be perfectly written as shown when there is a close up of it when Cooper is reading it.
Continuity: In the scene where the gang first meet with the weird Italian guy in the train and he puts his hand on Jamie's leg, look at Jenny. She is sitting right next to Scotty but when Cooper and Jamie run to the opposite side of the coupe she is sitting about a metre away from Scotty.
Continuity: When Scott and Cooper meet up with Jamie and Jenny in Paris, at the end of their conversation Jamie says "Let's go to the Louvre." When he says this his book is down by his side. In the next shot he has the book open in front of him. The shot changes again, and again the book is down by his side.
Continuity: When Scott asks the soccer hooligan where they are going (when they're on the bus), you can see that right at this moment the bus is about to pass underneath a bridge. The shot changes, but there isn't any visible indication that they passed underneath the bridge.
Continuity: When Scott is doing his robot act on Cooper, he gets really close to Cooper's face. In the next shot he is at a further distance away.
Continuity: Madame Vandersexxx writes the safe word starting in the middle of the slip of paper, but when Cooper looks at it later, it starts on the left side of the paper.
Other: When Scotty and his friends sit in the train driving from Crans Sur Mer to Amsterdam, Scotty reads his e-mails from Mieke again. However, most of the e-mails make no sense or are not written as if from one pen pal to another (e.g. in one e-mail, a 'Sandra' is asked how her job is going).
Factual error: After the climax at the Vatican, before the main characters are seen sitting and having a drink, there is a brief shot from inside the "Galleria Vittorio Emanuel II", which is in Milan, not Rome.
Factual error: Amsterdam doesn't resemble the "real" Amsterdam at all, including the infamous Red Light District. When walking alongside the highway, it's clear that it's not a Dutch highway. The supposedly Dutch characters speak with an Eastern European accent, because the "Dutch" scenes were shot in Prague, the Czech Republic.
Continuity: On the beach, Jennifer starts to untie her bikini top after taking off her shirt. When her brother yells to warn her and the camera pans back to her, her top is still fully tied.
Continuity: The word "zussamen" which is shown close-up, when Scott reads an e-mail from Mieke after the graduation party, is not written in the e-mail that can be seen a few shots earlier.
Factual error: When Scott and Cooper throw the burning hat in the fireplace, the smoke is seen coming out of the chimney in the Sistine chapel. Though this adds a bit of hilarity, the chimney is only able to be used when constructed in preparation for the Conclave of all conclaves, the election of the new pope.
Continuity: When the gang first arrives at the Vatican (as soon as the "map" shows them travel across the table to Italy), there is a very quick shot of them walking down an alley. Scotty says "there it is" and they walk toward a door with a sign above it (in English, for some reason) that says "Summer at Sea". The shot then changes and they are walking up to the Vatican guards. I guess there was supposed to be a scene where they went to the Summer at Sea office to find "Mike" but it was deleted. It wouldn't make sense, since they knew she was going to the Vatican anyway.
Factual error: When Scotty and Cooper are walking into the airport to get courier jobs to go to Europe, a European road sign can be seen behind them. It is blue with a red X on it.
Continuity: The mail Scott writes when he is drunk is not the one Mieke receives. You can see exactly that Scott writes "freak", but the mail Mieke receives is full of typing errors. One of them spells freak as "fraek".
Other: The emails are written in a very good German (both sides). But the word Scotty is looking up neither appears in Mieke's mail nor is written correctly. It should be "zusammen", not "zussamen". Also it's translated incorrectly, the closest meaning is "together" (for more look it up yourself).
Other: Right after the scene where they are chased by a bunch of naked guys at the nude beach, they're sitting in a train and we can see Scott leafing through his past e-mail correspondence with 'Mike'. If you look closely, you'll notice that the third page is the same as the first page.
Factual error: In the "Berlin intro" with all the German images, a plate can be seen with the text "automatische afsluiting" (automatic closure), which is not German but Dutch.
Factual error: In addition to the error revealed before: The group approaches the Vatican Museums from the left, which is impossible because of the Vatican City Wall standing there.
Factual error: In "Amsterdam", before the characters go out, a famous Czech bridge is visible in the background.
Continuity: When Scotty wakes up on the double-decker bus, his hair and the ribbons on the trophies aren't moving at all. In the next aerial shot they are all flapping in the wind.
Continuity: When Fiona is dumping Scott, in the background you can see Scott's father walking over to the stand besides Scott's mother. If you look directly behind them you will see an older couple watching them. In the next shot we see a closeup of Scott's parents but there isn't anyone standing behind them.
Continuity: On the train, a girl is reading a newspaper. The shot later, it is folded.
Audio problem: At the graduation Fiona tells Scott that they need to talk. He says, "Yeah, about what?" and the shot changes and you can see he is mouthing "about what" again.
Continuity: At the beginning of the movie, Scott runs over to Fiona and kisses her. She says "Congratulations graduate" and is holding a jacket quite high whilst her arm is bent. In the next shot, her arm is straight and the jacket is down by her waist.
