Jim Carey really has a chip in his tooth. For the filming of Dumb and Dumber he had the cap on his tooth removed.
In the bar scene when Lloyd leaves he sees the newspaper clipping on the wall and says "No Way! We Landed on the moon?" and walks out, that wasn't originally in the script, Jim Carrey just improvised that line and it was left in the movie.
Seabass actually makes an appearance in Me Myself And Irene as one of the Maine State Troopers at the end of the movie. In both cases, Seabass is played by ex-Boston Bruin, Cam Neely. He's a good friend of the Farrelly Brothers, and Jim Carrey.
When Lloyd pulls the scam on the truckers, he said that he saw it in a movie - the movie he is referring to is 'Something Wild' where Jeff Daniels (who plays Harry) pulls the same scam.
When Harry and Lloyd eat the hot peppers, the actors were supposed to eat a red candy, but Jim Carrey accidentally ate one of the peppers.
When Jim Carry said "hey want to hear the most annoying sound in the world?" and makes the weird sound. that seen was not in the script (watch Jeff Daniels).
