When the woman finds the people who really did rob the bank, she goes and finds her cousin (the lawyer) and tells him that they have to get to the rodeo because his clients are going to be killed. Fair enough, the guard is planning to kill them. But she has no idea of that at all. The only two people in the whole film who know it are the guard, and the inmate guard Graham (the ex-rodeo person). As far as we're concerned, she doesn't even know that his clients are IN the rodeo. [Of course she is aware of the situation. She is their lawyer's cousin and is in constant communication.]
