Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004) - 59 mistakes

Continuity: When Bill is cutting the crusts off a sandwich towards the end, he cuts two off, goes to remove the third, then the angle changes and he's now cutting it in half. After that we hear him sweep the crusts off the board and see him hand the sandwich to BB, then a shot or two later crusts are back on the board and he cleans them off again to make another sandwich.

Continuity: Right after Budd shoots Beatrix, he kicks her sword away from her, but the sword keeps changing position in subsequent shots. Sometimes it's on the ground and sometimes it's stuck in the side of a trash can.

Continuity: In the scene where The Bride is buried alive, she is shown trying to punch her way out of the coffin. Her knuckles and the top of the coffin are bloody. In the very next scene where she escapes, she goes to a diner for a glass of water and her knuckles show no evidence of punching their way out of the coffin.

Continuity: In the scene where Elle is talking to Budd as he dies, there is a porn mag next to his head with a large phone number across it, but upside down, reading "TNUC-KRAD-0081" (or thereabouts). After he dies, Elle phones Bill and you can see over her shoulder Budd's head with the mag now facing 180 degrees the other way.

Continuity: When Bill has blood on his chin (just after Beatrix does the 5 point thing), he wipes his mouth and removes the blood by his lip, but there is still blood on his chin. In the next shot, there is no blood on his face at all.

Continuity: At the end of the movie, Bill and The Bride are talking outside. When the camera is on Bill, the Tequila bottle label faces the camera then away from it several times.

Continuity: When Budd mixes an icy drink in his blender, he pours some into a couple of jars and then takes them over to Elle. When the jars are on the counter, they are no more than a third full, but when he takes them across the room, they have a lot more drink in than before

Continuity: In the scene where Beatrix meets her daughter, you can see her sword in the shots facing her, but when the camera i behind her, the sword is gone.

Continuity: In the scene where the diner owner sees Beatrix walking towards the diner after getting out of the graveyard, you can see a CLOSED sign in the window and is pushed to the left corner of the window frame. When Beatrix is walking in you can see the same sign in the left window but is right up against the right of the window frame. You can actually see by the green pipe outside the diner that they have changed the sign's location. In the first shot the green pipe is outside the window. In the following shot where you can see the sign in the left window, the green pipe is outside the right window.

Continuity: When Budd looks at the case of money, the left column of money lies vertical. In the following shot it is now horizontal.

Continuity: When the Bride shows up at Budd's trailer, her leather jacket is zipped up all the way. When Budd shoots her and she falls back, her jacket is opened.

Continuity: When Budd is in his boss's office being fired, after the boss scribbles out his name on the diary, he puts the pen onto the table in front of him. In the next shot the pen has suddenly disappeared but the pen lid is still there. Also, the lines of cocaine on the mirror on the table change throughout the scene.

Visible crew/equipment: When Budd is being fired by his boss at the strip club, you can see the boom reflected in the boss's sunglasses.

Continuity: When Budd is mixing drinks for himself and Elle in his trailer he pours them into two jars on his counter. When he pours the drink into the second one you can see him miss at first and spill the icey slush on the counter, but in the next shot (taken from behind him) as he picks up the drinks, the counter is clean.

Continuity: When Beatrix and B.B. are in the bed together the pillow under Beatrix's head changes position between shots. First her head is in the middle of the flowers then the flowers are totally visible. This changes a few more times without Beatrix actually moving her head.

Continuity: When the bride is eating rice with Pai Mei she is having trouble with the chopsticks. Before she throws down the chopsticks the rice bowl is very full and has a level top layer of rice. After she throws the chopsticks down and tries to eat with her hands, there is less rice in the bowl and a pile in the center of the bowl for her to grab.

Deliberate "mistake": During the end credits, when the Bride is seeing driving through the cliffs, there is a part when she turns her wheel left, but the car turns right.

Continuity: Magical bread bag - The bag of bread continually opens and closes then open then closes without anyone touching the bag numerous times depending on the shots.

Continuity: When Elle is talking to Bill after killing Budd, she is packing the money away in the suitcase. When she tells Bill "She put a black mamba in his camper", all the money on the floor to her right is gone and the only money left to pack is on the small table to her right. The next shot she is taking money from the floor to the left (her right) of the suitcase, and there is a considerable amount of money still on the floor.

Factual error: In the deleted scene where Bill kills the black guy and his henchmen, Bill slits the throat of the black man, and then sheathes the sword immediately. This would cause the blood to clot the inside of the scabbard, making it sticky and difficult to draw the sword. And if left long enough, it would rust the blade. The scabbard will have to be taken apart to be cleaned properly, which would be a lot of meaningless extra work, instead of simply taking 5 seconds to wipe the blade. A swordsman of Bill's caliber would never have mistreated his weapon like that. It is like seeing a soldier deliberately burying his rifle in mud to give himself a nice, long job of cleaning afterwards.

Continuity: When Elle and Beatrix are fighting in Budd's trailer, Bea throws the contents of Bud's jar spitoon on Elle's face and she says, "Gross." It's all over her face yet later in the fight, just BEFORE her head goes in the toilet, Elle's face is all clean and she has fresh lipstick.

Continuity: After Uma is shot with the truth serum in Bill's apartment, the placement of the fruit specks on her chest change as she leans back, leans forward, etc.

Continuity: About 10-15 minutes from the end, Bill and The Bride are talking in a room with a round couch with pillows on it. The Bride goes to sit down on the couch and directly behind her there is a striped pillow. As she sits, you can see that when she leans back, she will lean onto the pillow. However, the shot changes and as she completes leaning back, the pillow is no longer behind her, but to the side so that she leans against the back of the sofa.

Continuity: When Budd pours the margaritas, in the closeup both glasses have the same amount in them, but when he picks them up one glass has noticeably more than the other.

Continuity: When Budd is done making margaritas, the margarita mix bottle has the full label facing Elle. After he walks around the counter to give her a margarita, the bottle has spun halfway around and now the full label is facing where Budd was and the half label on the back is facing Elle.

Continuity: When Bill drops the bride off at Pai Mei's temple, he says good bye at the truck. He then takes off in the truck. Before he gets into the truck it is pointed in the direction of the steps and the trees. It is still pointed in that direction as he says good bye and starts up the truck. When he hits the accelerator the truck is now pointed in the direction of the road and goes straight down the road that was off to the right side.

Continuity: After Budd shoots the bride with rock salt he turns her over to inject with a drug. When he aims the needle to inject her it is from her left side and aimed at her left buttock. When they show a closeup of the injection Budd's arm is coming from the direction of her feet and injecting her in the right buttock.

Continuity: During the end, when the Bride is talking to Bill, as the camera changes, the position of the Tequila bottle cork changes from lying on its top to its side.

Continuity: After the bride has been crying in the bathroom near the end of the film, while BB is watching cartoons, the brides hair is much longer when she cuddles BB on the bed. It was shorter, shoulder length the evening before when she killed Bill and its the same again when she drives away happy with BB.

Continuity: While waiting for the truth serum to kick in, Bill talks at Bride from a bar stool. When he stands up and moves to the couch, the white handled pistol in his belt is holstered wrong (handle facing out). Next shot (after a cut to bride) the pistol is holstered correctly.

Continuity: When Elle and Beatrix have their big showdown in Budd's trailer, Elle kicks Beatrix into some sort of room and turns around to get Beatrix's sword. She picks it up and throws the case of the sword behind her and it hits the hanging light, putting the light out. However, when you see a frontal of Elle holding the sword, the light's back on and it's motionless.

Continuity: Magic jar of mustard - When Bill is making sandwiches the lid on the jar of mustard is off. The shot changes to the other side of the counter and the jar is back on the mustard. Later on we see the lid is once again off of the jar.

Revealing: When they show Elle's face from inside the toilet you can see Plexiglas between her face and the camera. You can also see a round outline in the Plexiglas that I presume is the reflection of a camera lens.

Continuity: After Budd shoots Beatrix, he walks to his chair, places his "cup" (an empty Jar) on a makeshift table and sits down. As he does so, the jar switches hands in-between shots.

Factual error: When Beatrice arrives in Acuna, Mexico, she drives through a jungle of palm trees. While jungles exist in southern Mexico, Acuna is located on the Texas border and the landscape there is flat sagebrush desert.

Continuity: A deleted scene in the Kill Bill 2 menu reveals a showdown between Bill and a black man with four henchmen. First henchman goes down then the remaining three attack. Bill slashes at them and they go down. As Bill approaches the black man, the positions of the three recently slaughtered henchmen changes everytime they are in shot.

Continuity: After Pai Mei dumps the Bride's bowl onto the ground he shoves his bowl towards her. The bowl switches from the edge of the table to the middle between shots.

Continuity: There are two shots of Elle driving up to Bud's trailer - in the first she drives straight and skids to a stop in front of his door, and in the second (which we see from the Bride's point of view up on the hill) she turns and pulls in before reaching the trailer.

Continuity: In the scene when Bill drops off the bride with Pai Mei, and they are talking by the truck, her jacket goes from around her elbows to on her shoulders without her putting it on.

Continuity: When Beatrix is putting Elle's head into the toilet bowl in the fight you can see Elle is holding the toilet basin near the left edge with her left hand very tightly (you can tell its hers by the black sleeve). In the next shot she is bringing her hand up from below the basin around the middle of the left side and grabbing Beatrix's arm. Even if she dropped her hand there was not enough time during the shots for her to drop her hand from the basin and bring it back up.

Continuity: When Bud dies from the snake bite, his body is lying at an angle to the counter and his right leg is bent. Later, when Elle catapults over the counter and lands on Bud's body, it's parallel to the counter and his right leg is straight.

Continuity: After Beatrix plucks out Elle's other eye, Elle begins to kick and flail in the bathroom. A shot of the toilet has magazines and bottles neatly on top of it. The next shot the bottles are tipped over and the magazines are on the toilet seat. Elle never got close enough to the toilet to knock these items over. A few shots later and the magazines that were on the toilet seat are no longer there.

Continuity: When Beatrix squishes Elle's eyeball with her foot she is in the threshold of the door. The next shot she is halfway down the hall and picking up the Hanzo sword. We do hear Elle in the background and her screaming is continuous. Beatrix could have never gotten from the threshold of the door to halfway down the hall that quickly.

Continuity: After Budd is done pouring the two drinks and the little speech to Elle about comparing Hanzo swords, he closes the door of the overhead cabinet with the blender in his right hand, then he puts the blender down, practically throwing it to the counter next to the Margarita Mix bottle. When he walks over to hand Elle the drink, the shot from behind the counter shows the blender is not where it's supposed to be, only the bottle.

Revealing: In the scene where Pai Mei shows Beatrix the short punch through the timber, the hole he punched through it is not solid wood but a fake veneer, MUCH thinner than the timber that is shown.

Continuity: In the scene where Bill is telling what happened to Amelio the fish, the bites in B.B.'s sandwich keep changing.

Continuity: In the scene where Bud is getting lectured by his boss (at the MY-OH-MY CLUB) and he turns and marks out Bud's name on the working schedule, from one shot to the next shot the pen marks on the calendar change - sometimes neat lines (the ones we see him do), other shots they're messy scribbles.

Continuity: Right at the beginning of the scene where The Bride is fighting Elle in Budd's trailer, Elle swats her back towards the back of the room with the sword. The Bride then takes one of the TV antennas as a weapon; notice the green bottle of beer on the TV. As she yanks out the antenna, she hits the beer bottle which falls. In mid-fall, however, the shot changes and the bottle is back on the top of the TV again.

Continuity: When the Bride finally confronts Bill in his apartment, B.B. "shoots" her in the doorway. The Bride spins from the pretended impact to her left, but in the next shot she's centered in the doorway again.

Continuity: When Daryl Hannah and Michael Madsen are talking in his trailer, as he says "Horsesh*t" he holds drink at his chest. Cut and his arms are both in his lap.

Continuity: When Beatrix lies in bed with B.B. she has a doll up against her chin. But in the next shot, the doll has suddenly moved away and her arm is next to her face.

Continuity: During the fight in Budd's trailer, the Bride tries to drown Elle in the toilet. As she's falling to the right, you can see that the magazines (that were previously on top of the tank) have somehow moved to the seat. An instant later, they're gone.

Continuity: When Uma Thurman is at the trailer and is shot by Budd, then injected with a drug, there is a close up of her face and hands as she is injected. she clutches some sand in her hands which are under her head and her head drops onto her hand. However in the next shot when Budd is calling Elle on his mobile, if you look at Uma in the background her hands and arms are either side of her head and quite widely spread apart.

Continuity: When Budd is talking to Bill, 1/4 of the razor blade on his necklace is tucked in his shirt. In the next shot is completely out of his shirt.

Continuity: At the beginning when Uma Thurman is talking to David Carradine, the ring on her finger moves slightly. At first it's worn normally, facing directly towards Carradine, but then in the next shot, it's facing down.

Revealing: When they show a close up of Pai Mei's face, look at his eyebrows. You can see the actor's real brown eyebrows underneath the fake white ones.

Continuity: In the scene where Beatrix is fighting Elle in Budd's trailer, she removes an aerial from the TV and slashes Elle's face, leaving four large gashes. In the next shot, two of the wounds are gone.

Continuity: When The Bride is in the coffin, various aspects of it keep changing. When the lid's being nailed on, one shot shows the wood a bit warped to the left of her head (where a nail's too close to the surface) but in other shots it's fine. The grain also changes in places, most noticeably when she's punching her way out - in different shots there's a knot to the left on the blood stain, above it, or right under it.

Continuity: When Uma is talking to the Spanish pimp guy towards the end, his cigarette length changes throughout the scene.
