Continuity: After Bond gets picked up from the airport, evades a car, then fights with the driver, at one point he pulls back his right arm, but then the angle changes, and he hits him with his left one.

Trivia
Ian Fleming wanted his cousin Christopher Lee to play "Dr. No". Due to other projects, Lee had to turn the role down, but was later cast as "Scaramanga" in "The Man With The Golden Gun". Actor Max Von Sydow was also offered the part - he would later be cast as "Ernst Stavro Blofeld" in the non-Eon film "Never Say Never Again". See more...
Dr. No (1962) - 52 mistakes
Directed by Terence Young, starring Bernard Lee, Jack Lord, Joseph Wiseman, Lois Maxwell, Sean Connery, Ursula Andress (add more)
Revealing: When James Bond has a spider on his arm, one can see he's under a glass plate, and the spider on top of the plate.
Factual error: When Bond is involved in a high-speed chase on the way to Miss Taro's house, his wheels are squealing like crazy, but he's on a dirt road.
Continuity: Bond sits down by a table, puts some cards down, and pulls his gun out. He's wearing a tie, but when we see a closeup of him screwing on the silencer, his tie disappears.
Continuity: When Bond gets directions to Miss Taros house she gives the address as '239 Magenta Drive', but when he's in her house later on, while calling for a taxi, he gives it as '2171 Magenta Drive'. Miss Taro even nods to confirm it.
Audio problem: When Bond and Honey are on the beach the hoods of Dr No come by boat. On the boat there is a guy shouting through a megaphone. As they sail away again the man waves the megaphone to his comrades and says something like 'Come on'. Yet his voice sounds identical to when he was speaking through the megaphone, though he isn't holding it to his mouth anymore.
Continuity: During the car chase on the way to Miss Taro's house, we can see the same shot of the cars at the turn twice.
Continuity: When Bond kills a patrolman on the island, his shirt is dry around his shoulders right after rising out of the water.
Audio problem: When the powerboat shoots at the island, afterward, when the guy with the speakerphone tells them that he would be back later on, he then turns to the driver and tells him to move on, but when he says that, it sounds as though he's still talking in the microphone even thought the microphone is at his side.
Revealing: When Dr. No crushes the Buddha in his powerful deformed hand, watch when he first touches it. It is made out of rubber.
Continuity: When Bond goes to Miss Taro's house, as he enters, one of the blinds is turned on the door, but they were all straight before.
Factual error: Bond is worried that Dr. No has picked up the sails of Honey's boat on his radar, as indeed the good doctor has (in the movie) but radar systems cannot detect cloth or a wooden mast.
Continuity: When Bond enters the office of Universal Imports he throws his hat on the hat rack. After his meeting with M, he retrieves his hat from the hat rack, but it has moved to a different hook.
Continuity: The dashboard of Bond's car in Jamaica keeps changing colour, from read to black, and back again.
Continuity: When the black guy gets cut by the bottle he has a lot of blood on his face and the rag. The next scene he's fine with no blood.
Plot hole: When Bond, Quarrel and Felix sail to Crab Key, Felix says that it's 48 hours to the moonshot. Bond replies that they'll "Be back in 12, if not then it's your beat and you'd better bring your marines with you". We know that Bond was still on the island when the rocket took off (it's when he kills Dr. No) and yet it's only when He and Honey are sailing AWAY from the island that Felix shows up with the marines. Why did he wait the full 48 hours (longer even as the moonshot had already occurred) when it was obvious something was wrong when Bond hadn't come back after the 12 or so hours as agreed?
Visible crew/equipment: When Strangeways is killed by the three blind men, as well as a visible spotlight reflected in the windows of the hearse, there are at least two men visible - a cameraman and what I believe could be director Terence Young. Best viewed in slo-mo DVD.
Continuity: The hearse that was involved in Strangways death and later chases Bond is a 1937 or 1938 Lasalle, with the pod style headlights mounted on stalks on either side of the radiator. The car that drives off the cliff and explodes is a later model car, with the headlights mounted flush into the fenders. It is very easy to spot while the burning car is rolling down the side of the cliff.
Factual error: When Professor Dent tries to shoot Bond at Miss Taro's and Bond is waiting for him in the darkened room, the 'Walther PPK' that Bond is busily screwing the silencer onto, at the beginning of the scene, does not have an external hammer, and is therefore not a Walther at all. It's a Browning 1910 .32 calibre.
Continuity: Bond was picked up at the airport in a 1957 Chevy, but when the speedometer is shown it is a 1957 Ford instrument panel.
Continuity: When the spider crawls up Bond's arm, and we see the spider in close-up, they are using a stand-in with much more muscular arms than Sean Connery.
Continuity: A car chase early on has a cutaway to the speedometer of the villain pursuing Bond, of a dashboard totally and obviously different to the actual one on the car, and the director knew it, but they were low budget and had no choice, but felt that if the scene was working (it does) nobody should really be stopping to notice such things. Still.....
Continuity: When Bond gets into the car at the airport he is sitting behind the driver (left side of rear seat). In the next shot, he is sitting behind the front passenger seat (right side). In a later shot he is again sitting behind the driver (left side again).
Continuity: At the airport, Leiter gets into a 1961 Chevrolet Impala pillared sedan which changes to a a 4-door pillarless sedan during the ensuing car chase.
Continuity: When Bond first meet Honey, in the first clip, when she's seen from the front, the sun is to her right (there is a bit of shadow on her left shoulder) but in the next clip, when she's seen from the back, the sun's to her left.
Continuity: When professor Dent throws the gun down it lands on the edge of the bed cover - almost on the floor, but in the next clip it is in the middle of the bed cover.
Revealing: Bond, Honey and Quarrel are hiding under the water when the guards arrive. They are not noticed, but one guard comes later than the others. Bond stabs him in the back and leaves him in the water, but there is no blood.
Continuity: One of Bond's traps in his room is his briefcase; he puts talcum powder on it. When he is done he sets the case down on the right side of the table. To the left is a mirror and by the mirror is an assortment of perfume bottles and a shaving bag. When he returns, the contents on the table are reversed exactly, and the perfume bottles are replaced by a magazine.
Continuity: When the freelance photographer is sitting down with Bond, the strap is around her neck, after the cut to a close up of her, the strap is gone. Then they show Bond take the strap off her neck.
Continuity: When Dr. No crushes the gold Buddha statue at the dinner table with his hands, it falls off the table onto the floor. However, when a wider camera angle is shown, right before the guard takes Bond to the elevator, the gold statue is back on the table.
Revealing: During the sequence when Bond is crawling through the tunnel at Dr. No's complex, the tunnel walls wobble.
Visible crew/equipment: The camera's shadow is visible on the ground as the car goes off the cliff in the car chase when Bond is headed to Miss Taro's house.
Visible crew/equipment: In M's office you can see a boom light reflecting off a painting above the mantelpiece.
Visible crew/equipment: At the airport on Jamaica, when Bond uses the telephone booth, you can see the lighting and crew members reflected in the glass door as he opens it to walk in and out and when Felix opens the door.
Continuity: Near the end when Dr No attacks Bond up on the gantry we see two shots of the radioactivity meter where the red indicator is very close to maximum. The third time we see it just as they tumble off the gantry, it has moved much closer to the danger level.
Audio problem: When Bond goes in to see M, you can see Bond speaking just after he sits down. His lips move quite a lot, but there is no sound.
Visible crew/equipment: In the first scene, after the "3 blind men" have killed the man, there is a clear reflection of a spot light on the black car.
Continuity: When Bond is confronting Professor Dent one of his socks varies in height from clip to clip.
Continuity: During the evening meeting in the bar we can see the band and a singer, but movement of his lips (despite that they were trying to hide them behind a big microphone) don't match what is sung.
Continuity: During the car scene, the black car rams into Bond. Then the camera cuts and the black car is about 5 feet behind Bond without any time to have slowed down.
Continuity: When Bond turns on the lights after Professor Dent has arrived, his cards on the table have been messed up - compared to when he put the cards down five seconds earlier.
Other: At the end of the film when Bond and Honey are rescued in the small boat, Felix walks to greet them. What is strange though, is that there is no mention about where Quarrel is, even though Quarrel and Felix were good friends.
Continuity: When you see Bond in his hotel room for the first time, there are two bottles on the table, a clear one and a green one. When he re-enters the room and checks his traps, the green bottle has disappeared. Bond takes a bottle from a drawer but that also is clear so what happened to the green one?
Continuity: At the baccarat table at the ambassador's club, Sylvia Trench has a red dress on. A piece of the dress off of her shoulder. In the first shot, this piece goes to the left about three inches from the broach she is wearing. In the next shot, the piece hangs down, covering half her broach.
Revealing: When Bond and Honey are made to take showers to clean them of any remaining radioactivity, they are meant to be naked. When Honey gets out of the shower a man holds a towel up for her, but if you look closely you can see that she is wearing a flesh-colored swim suit.
Continuity: When Bond and Honey get out of the water after Bond killed the soldier and after they clean themselves in clear water, Honey's shirt is dry, when it was completely wet before.
Revealing: When the spy woman is killed, there is a cut in the film because she moves too fast.
Plot hole: When Bond is escaping through the metal ducts, presumably of Dr No's air-conditioning, he is deluged with torrents of water. He then leaves the pipe work through a metal grille into a passageway - why didn't the water leave the same way?
Continuity: Bond enters his room and spots Sylvia Trench playing golf. As they talk, she raises the golf club. When the angle changes, she holds it down and raises it again.
Continuity: In the famous casino scene in the beginning of the film Bond smokes a cigarette, but in the cuts between him and Sylvia Trench he sometimes holds it in his hand and sometimes in his mouth.
Continuity: When Bond is firing at the armoured car, trying to shoot the lights out, he begins with an FN Browning Model 1910 but then all of a sudden, it turns into a Colt M1911, a pistol about twice the Browning's size.
Continuity: At the end of the movie Bond and Honey are in a small boat when Felix Leiter comes in a bigger boat and gives them a tow. When Bond sits next to Honey he sits on her right hand side. In the next shot he is on her left and in the next shot he is on her right, and back again, etc.
