Quotes
Natalie: He says no one's going to fancy a girl with thighs the size of big tree trunks. Not a nice guy, actually, in the end.
Prime Minister: Right. Goodness. Well, well. You know, being Prime Minister, I could just have him murdered.
Natalie: Thank you, sir. I'll think about it.
Prime Minister: Do. The SAS are absolutely charming. Ruthless trained killers are just a phone call away.
Mistakes
When recording the soundtrack at the beginning of the movie, in the first take Billy Mack sings the first line of the verse but there is no vocal back up, but when he sings the second line, "I feel it in my toes," the backup singers repeat the second line. After messing up, in the next two tries, when Billy sings the first line, "I feel it in my fingers," the backup singers DO repeat this line this time. With each run through the three part harmony should sing the very same line each take, but they didn't. See more...
Love Actually (2003) - 12 trivia entries
Directed by Richard Curtis, starring Alan Rickman, Andrew Lincoln, Bill Nighy, Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Kris Marshall, Laura Linney, Liam Neeson, Martin Freeman, Martine McCutcheon, Rowan Atkinson (add more)
Rowan Atkinson was originally meant to be an 'angel of love' - he was meant to help all the movie's characters find their love (e.g. he helps Sam by distracting the airport employee). He was also meant to walk away at the end and fade away, but the writers thought this too complicated and decided to keep him as a simple shop assistant. DVD Commentary.
Billy Bob Thornton agreed to appear in the movie without having seen the script. On the day of shooting he told director Richard Curtis that he was scared of Benjamin Disraeli's facial hair, and as such wouldn't be able to do the scene in Ten Downing Street because there was a picture of him on the wall. Curtis told him to keep his back to the picture throughout the scene, which he does, although you'll notice he looks quite nervous.
