Revealing: In 1981, when most of the story takes place, the 1981 Dodge Diplomat was the most common police cruiser, but the director of this film chose the 1987 Chevy Caprice Classic.
Revealing: This movie is set in the summer of 1981, however there is a scene where Val Kilmer is counting a whole bunch of 100 dollar bills that weren't printed until the mid 90's.
