Mistake Continuity: Prince Ali and Jasmine are on the Chinese Palace rooftop after the "Whole New World" song. A rare "Off Model" character error happens with the Jewel in Aladdin's turban. When they are discussing royalty going out into the public in disguise. The Jewel begins to shrink steadily in size throughout the scene. After Jasmine flicks the feather up on Ali's turban, the jewel is now 25% of it's normal size. Extremely noticeable as Ali leans towards Jasmine. The shot cuts to carpet for a second and when we see Ali and Jasmine again, the jewel is restored to nearly correct size, but then we are treated to a rare "Swimming" animation error. The jewel in Ali's turban very noticeably migrates up at least 2 inches in a second.(as though it were alive and moving), The jewel actually leaves the band on camera. The bottom third of the jewel is supposed to be attached to the gold hat band, with the fabric in the front supported and swagged by it to keep the turban high in the front. So the movement can't be caused by the fabric falling in the back pulling it up. The jewel in Ali's turban is correctly drawn and scaled when they return to the palace in the next scene, so that you may make an easy size and placement comparison.

Mistake Continuity: The long panning shot of the dungeon scene comes to a stop at Aladdin seated and shacked to the wall. His hands are shackled to blocks on the third row up from the floor, the next shot they are shackled to blocks in the fourth row from the floor.

Mistake Continuity: In the Prince Ali parade, the monkeys are on top of wooden poles, with wooden cross member arms, with bells hanging from them. When Jafar is pushing the participants out of the Throne room doors, we see one of the monkeys and the bells are missing from the pole he is sitting on.

Mistake Continuity: Every long shot looking at the Palace shows a single column between the Palace ground walls and the Palace itself, just to the right of the main gate. When the Prince Ali parade is inside the Palace grounds and have started to ascend the staircase, several men carrying plates of gold on their heads walk past that point for an ideal view of this large column. It isn't there.

Mistake Continuity: Throughout the movie, whether Aladdin is in Street Rat clothing or in Prince Ali attire, he wears the same exact waistband. It has two distinct styles that constantly change throughout the movie, with either outfit. One style is flat on the bottom; the other has a dramatic point downward in the front. The detail lines across it change constantly as well in many scenes.

Mistake Continuity: When the Prince Ali Parade bursts into the Throne Room, the bird cage is packed with large, exotic songbirds. When Jafar is pushing the procession out the door, the same cage has twelve tiny birds in a vast, empty cage.

Mistake Continuity: When we first see Aladdin in the market place, the canopy to the right of the melon booth (where Aladdin is seated) is yellow with a flat top and no fringe. As Abu drops down, it is now reddish orange. When Abu is snatching the melon, the canopy yellow and has a large hanging curtain.

Mistake Continuity: When the Suitor slams teh palace gates in Aladdin's face, they have large, scrolled iron brackets extending across the doors from the hinges. When the Prince Ali parade goes through them, they have massive flat iron bars attached to the hinges held on with giant nails. Later, when the Sultan announces that Jasmine has chosen a suitor, the doors no longer have hinges or brackets at all. The carving in the doors also changes between these shots.

Mistake Continuity: During the Prince Ali parade, Aladdin shakes the hands of some men in a towering pile that Genie has scooped up with a human wheelbarrow. The top five of those men pile onto Aladdin. Then the number of faces grows in the pile, first to six, then seven, then eight faces. When Aladdin lifts the pile, there are six men in it.

Mistake Continuity: Aladdin and Jasmine climb over the edge onto the first rooftop on their way to Aladdin's secret hideout. As they climb over, the wall around the roof has a very flat top with sharply defined edges as well as deep crevices indicating that it is made from large blocks. In the next shot looking down the same wall has a very smooth rounded adobe top with no lines or crevices on the top or sides.

Mistake Continuity: When Jafar reveals Aladdin's true self to Jasmine, he is about two inches shorter than her. During the marketplace and rooftop scenes, Aladdin had bare feet and was about four inches taller than Jasmine.

Screen shot Continuity: As Aladdin is sinking in the ocean, he sees his turban falling as well. This turban doesn't match his earlier one: it lacks the gold brim that goes all the way around the Prince Ali hat and the fabric that hung down around Prince Ali's neck. This turban has a very wide white border, a much smaller jewel and feather, and is very round, almost like a helmet.

Mistake Continuity: Aladdin presents himself as Prince Ali to the Sultan by flying down directly in front of him, about a foot or two away. After Jafar closes the doors to the throne room, Ali and Carpet are now at least 15-20 feet farther back.

Mistake Continuity: When Aladdin refuses to free Genie, after he insults Carpet and Abu, the Prince Ali turban materializes on the bed next to him.
