Trivia
Julian Sands, who plays the main villain in the film, was also the voice actor for Valmont in the cartoon series Jackie Chan Adventures until mid-2001. I guess Julian is destined to make trouble for Jackie's characters. See more...

starring Jackie Chan, John Rhys-Davies, Julian Sands, Lee Evans (add more)
Continuity: In the beginning when Snakehead has received the book from the old man he says "The only pitiful is your life". He grabs a knife and we see him stretching his arm out against the old man. When it cuts Snakehead has his arm bent with the knife under the old mans chin. The way Snakehead stretched his arm he would have stabbed the old man right in the face, not placing the knife under his chin.
Continuity: When Snakehead moves the knife away from the old mans chin we see in the wide shot that the old man puts his hand to his mouth. When it cuts to a close-up he does it again.
Continuity: When Jackie is waiting for his octopus meal he is holding his hand on the counter. On the counter edge we can see a piece of cloth. When it cuts the cloth is gone, and a sort of cookie has appeared as well.
Continuity: When Jackie throws away the octopus he is about to eat he runs over the road and a white car is coming against him. We can see that Jackie is going to be hit by the car, but the scene is cut to a frontal shot of him running. But this time he is running a bit different and isn't hit at all. (During the ending credits they show Jackie getting hit by the car from a different angle).
Audio problem: When Watson falls down the stairs in the holy temple it sounds like he is falling on several items on the floor. The sound of a bottle twirling on the floor can also be heard. When it cuts to them walking further we can see nothing on the floor that could have made such noise.
Continuity: When Jackie is sitting in the truck and he spots the light coming up from the sewage he gets out of the car while placing his right hand on the truck. When it cuts his arms are down.
Continuity: When Jackie removes the lid from the sewage opening the angle he is standing while looking down changes when it cuts from inside the opening. His grip on the lid also changes between the shots.
Continuity: The rock Jackie picks up in the sewer is smaller than the one he throws in the next scene.
Continuity: Around the beginning of the film Jackie is fighting some guys in some underground tunnel and you can see his shadow on the wall behind him. It is in the wrong direction considering where the light is coming from.
Continuity: When Jackie is fighting the two guys in the sewer he kicks one of them and splashes some water on the wall beside them. Later we can see the wall is completely dry.
Audio problem: When Giscard comes running while Snakehead is with Jai, Giscard shouts "It's the cops.", however his mouth still moves after the sentence.
Continuity: When Giscard grabs Snakehead and says "Cops. We gotta go," we see him grabbing Snakehead's left arm. When it cuts he is holding around Snakehead's waist.
Revealing: When Snakehead kicks the candleholder over making the curtains catch fire, we can actually see some sort of an electric spark igniting the fire.
Continuity: After Snakehead kicks the candleholder, the way the curtains begin to burn change in the next scene.
Deliberate "mistake": After the curtain begins to burn, suddenly all the curtains are burning. This would only happen if all the curtains were lit individually. Only one of the curtains caught fire when Snakehead kicked the candleholder.
Continuity: When Jackie gets to Jai, they are surrounded by burning curtains. Jackie covers Jai in Jai's cloth and jumps through the fire. If you look closely you can actually see the cloth catch fire as Jackie jumps through the fire. When it cuts to a close-up of Jackie the cloth isn't burning anymore.
Continuity: After Snakehead gets away from Jackie the first time he is sitting in his car. When he says "Interpol is all over me. Can't stay here any longer", he has his hands down. In the following scene his hand is by his chin.
Continuity: When we first see Jackie looking at the "Sea Horizon" through the binoculars he is wearing camouflage. Later when they are boarding the "Sea Horizon" the camouflage is gone.
Other: One of the guys pulls out a rocket launcher and supposedly aims it at a ship, at one point in the movie. You can see that he isn't aiming it at the ship and the rocket still hits it.
