This is the first movie Jackie Chan uses special effects for his fighting.
Julian Sands, who plays the main villain in the film, was also the voice actor for Valmont in the cartoon series Jackie Chan Adventures until mid-2001. I guess Julian is destined to make trouble for Jackie's characters.
