Revealing: While Noro, a member of a shoeless society, is doing his uphill training you get a glimpse of his shoes, in spite of all efforts to hide his feet in the grass.

Revealing: The volcano backdrop is rather coarsely painted, thus quite a contrast to the many other impressive landscape shots.

Continuity: When the competitors climb down the cliff they reach a flat, stony beach. However, when Noro falls behind he dives from a remarkable height directly into the water.

Revealing: When the last of the competitors steals an egg from a bird's nest you can see that the bird's legs are tied.

Audio problem: Although the cast speaks English throughout (with wildly varying accents), when Sandrine Holt is being lowered into the cave, one of the Chilean extras can be heard saying, "Cuidado." (Be careful.) in Spanish.
