Other mistake: Near the beginning of the film, Carter asks Tom how high the fences are, then he tells them to make them higher, and Scoggs confirmed they were raised, but you can see that the fences never get any higher.
Revealing mistake: As one of the lab crew is showing Tomas Jane the suspended tiger shark you can see a horizontal line in the water in the background. this is the edge of the water tank used to film the exterior scenes (mentioned in DVD extras).

After the avalanche, it took us a week to climb out. Now, I don't know exactly when we turned on each other, but I know that seven of us survived the slide... And only five made it out. Now we took an oath, that I'm breaking now. We said we'd say it was the snow that killed the other two, but it wasn't. Nature is lethal but it doesn't hold a candle to man.
Question: How did they do the scene when one of the sharks ate the bird? I know they used animatronic sharks for any interaction with the people, so did they use the same method for the bird? It was "inside" the shark after all.
