Continuity: Will comes into the blacksmith shop, comments about Mr. Brown and then approaches the anvil. In this shot the wood post on his right has a hammer and knotted rope hanging together on the same side. However, later when Jack sprays the soot at Will the same wood post is seen on Will's left and the rope hangs on another side of the post, not together with the hammer. That rope changes shape and position in other shots in between too.

Trivia
Another scene taken from the Disney ride is when we FIRST (because they go back in that cave a lot) watch Will and Jack row into the cave. Will looks to the left and sees skeletons, a sword and a large crab. This is about the first thing seen on the ride. See more...
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) - 137 minor mistakes
Directed by Gore Verbinski, starring Jack Davenport, Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Mackenzie Crook, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom, Jonathan Pryce (add more)
Please note: The sliding down the rope scene is perfectly possible - the link between Johnny Depp's handcuffs is long enough that he can fold it in half and sling the loop over the rope. Also Will's father - yes, he was still alive, stuck under the sea for 10 years attached to a cannon (or crushed to pieces - they comment on "the crushing black depths"). Not a mistake though. Most importantly, JACK ISN'T CURSED FOR THE WHOLE FILM. He's only cursed when he takes a medallion out of the chest right at the end.
Continuity: When Elizabeth joins Barbossa for dinner there are candelabras on the table behind Elizabeth and Barbossa and many loose candles all around. The candle heights vary in many shots. One example: when Barbossa says, "All the scattered pieces of the Aztec gold," the candles on the candelabra behind Elizabeth are much shorter than in the shot right after when Elizabeth asks, "And the blood to be repaid?" where they're much taller.
Audio problem: Aboard Interceptor after the downed mast, Will is trapped below deck, as Elizabeth yells to him, "I can't move it," then Grapple and Mallet grab Elizabeth and she screams, "Will!" In the next shot of Elizabeth, she fights to free herself and we hear her scream, "Will!" again, but she's clenching her teeth and her mouth doesn't form the word Will. At almost the same moment that she screams, "Will!" the second time, Cotton's parrot squawks.
Continuity: In the blacksmith shop, next to the fireplace and anvil, there is a table with a variety of tools and other objects. The variety and placement of the items on that table changes when the table is shown. Some examples are, as Jack puts his hat down, then when Will notices Jack's hat, and later when Jack says, "Ta."
Continuity: When Jack, and later Will, approach Mr. Brown we see how far apart the tables in front and to the left of Mr. Brown are. Jack breaks the chain, he hears Will and the table behind him is in line with the back door. When Jack pulls the sword out of Will's hand and tosses it, in the shot of Will the table is much closer to Mr. Brown now. After Jack says, "You need to find yourself a girl, mate" and tosses the mallet at Will, in the wide shot behind Will, we see just how close together the two tables are now. The side table is angled more towards him too. This has nothing to do with camera angles.
Continuity: Will walks into the blacksmith shop, takes his jacket off and tosses it onto the stones near the fireplace. His jacket lays differently on the stones in some shots throughout this scene. These two shots are examples: when Jack says, "Crossing blades with a pirate," and when Jack jumps off the stones after spraying Will with the soot.
Continuity: In the blacksmith shop there's a table with asst tools. In all these shots a few of the tools are arranged differently and in some shots they're completely different tools. 1 - when Jack notices Mr Brown. 2 - behind Jack when Will starts to come into the shop. 3 - when Will says, "Right where I left you." 4 - behind Will, when he and Jack duel. 5 - behind Will, when Jack holds the gun on him.
Continuity: When Mr Gibbs shouts what sounds like, "Do it you gobs, or it's you we'll load into the cannons!" while the Region 2 DVD subtitles read "Do it you gobs!" which matches his mouth movements, the Region 1 subtitles say "do it you dogs..." yet his lips clearly form a B not a G. A bizarre difference between versions.
Revealing: When saying, Welcome to the Caribbean, love," Jack, who is beside Elizabeth, starts to walk past her and his right hand nudges her left arm, to move her away. In the next close-up, taken later as a studio pickup, it shows him instead handing the bottle of rum to Elizabeth. In the close-up it's not Depp's hand on the rum bottle - the fingers are short and stocky, whereas Depp's are long and slim. Other differences include, Jack's red string tied to his braid, Elizabeth's hair is not as messy and windblown. (The original scene is shown in the deleted scenes.)
Continuity: When the barrels are being tossed off the Interceptor there is a shot of a crewman in an orange jacket holding a cannonball in his hands and passing it to someone on his left. As the shot pans to the side, behind that crewman that passed the cannonball, we see part of the head of someone and also see Will's shoulder and arm - he just climbed out from below deck. Yet in the very next shot, Will is just coming up from below deck.
(Perhaps better in slow motion.)
Continuity: When Elizabeth asks, "Well, then can't we lose them amongst those shoals?" in the front shot, her hair is in front of her shoulders and in the side shot, her hair is behind her shoulder, on her back. This occurs many times throughout the film with Elizabeth's loose, long hair - wet and dry, such as on the dock, after Jack rescues her in Port Royal, and after Will rescues her when they board the Interceptor.
Continuity: When Jack and Will are under the bridge, and Jack says, "We're going to commandeer that ship. Nautical term," his right cheek is clean. When he turns to ask Will "One question about your business..." there is a broad black smudge running from his right cheek to the right side of his nose. As he turns around after Will's answer and says, "No worries..." his right cheek is again clean, without ever having touched his face.
Continuity: Being chased by the Pearl, the Interceptor lowers the anchor and it catches a rock. After a few shots on deck the next shot below deck, is of the table with the medallion on it. As the table starts to tip we see the medallion and chain. In the next close-up shot, the chain is lying on the table differently. The chain didn't start to slide between shots, only after the second shot.
Continuity: When Elizabeth is dining with Barbossa aboard the Black Pearl, cutting between the front shots and side shots she holds the turkey leg differently in her left hand. Also held differently in her right hand is the bread when Barbossa offers her the apple and she looks at the monkey between the two shots.
