Trivia
Another potential ending suggested for this film involved Freddy and Jason awakening in Hell, Freddy had his arm back on and Jason's fingers had regenerated. They would proceed to face off for another fight only to be stopped by hooks and chains suddenly shooting out of everywhere and digging into their flesh. The movie would then end with Pinhead (from the "Hellraiser" series) coming out of the darkness and saying "Now what seems to be the problem?" This was eventually rejected as the director wasn't a fan of the Hellraiser franchise. See more...
Freddy Vs. Jason (2003) - 68 mistakes
Directed by Ronny Yu, starring Jason Ritter, Robert Englund (add more)
Revealing: When Freddy and Jason are fighting towards the end of the movie, Freddy cuts Jason's fingers off so he drops his machete. But when Freddy catches it you can easily see that it isn't a real one (its made of rubber, or something like that).
Revealing: When Jason throws Linderman against the wall, if you slow it down, you can see that the person Jason throws looks nothing like Linderman, it is OBVIOUSLY the stunt double.
Visible crew/equipment: In the dream fight between Freddy and Jason, you can see the wire that holds the machete up when Freddy catches it after Jason swings it.
Continuity: When Mark tells Kurt he never does checkers, we see Will holding his hand down on the table. When it cuts he has his hand up by his chin.
Continuity: When Freddy and Jason get hit by the cart at the construction site, they land next to each other on the dock. But in the next shot, we see Jason getting up quite a distance away from Freddy.
Revealing: As soon as the drunk kid sets Jason on fire there's a few quick shots of Jason's face but there's a perfect hole right through his head where his eye is supposed to be and you can see the night sky through it. Some people say it's a reflection off the goggles to protect the actor from the flames. Either way it's a mistake.
Continuity: When the girls are at Lori's, just after Kia asks them if they think she needs a nose job, the lights flicker. When they flicker Kia is holding a compact in her left hand and she begins to close it. Both hands are up by her face but then the angle changes to a wider shot and her left hand is empty and on her lap and the compact is in her right hand as she places it on the sofa.
Continuity: When Lori explains she haven't had much sleep lately, Kia says "Lori, you had to sleep at the police station.". If you look at Kia's purse's straps you can see some of Kia's dress sticking up between the straps. When it cuts the piece of her dress no longer sticks up between the straps.
Continuity: After they have sedated Mark the institution guards throw him on the bed, and we see him landing on the pillow. Two shots later he is off the pillow.
Continuity: When Mark turns up at school telling about Freddy to Lori, as he says "Then he came back" we see Lori pulling her hair back with her hand without lowering her hand. When it cuts, her hand is suddenly down.
Continuity: When the skinny-dipping girl reaches the ladder attached to the pier, you see her grab it with her left hand. When it cuts she holds on to it with her right hand.
Continuity: When Jason throws Linderman to the wall he gets impaled by a sharp object stuck to the wall. However as Linderman is flying against the wall before hitting it the object isn't there.
Continuity: When the teens enter the mental institution to get the dream suppressant drug, it shows a security guard drawing his pistol in alert to an intruder banging on a door. The next shot cuts to show the response of two teens hearing a single shot fired, and then cuts back to show the security guard under the door with four big dents from Jason and two bullet holes. The holes are located at the top right hand corner of the door and the other near the door handle.
Continuity: At school when Lori approaches Will, she puts her hand on his chin. Will then places his hand on Lori's hand and says "I thought you might be in trouble," while their hands still are on his chin. When it cuts, their hands are suddenly down.
Continuity: In the boiler room in Jason's "dream", the container that pins Jason to the floor lands directly on top of him. However, in the close-up of it still pinning him down, you see Jason's upper-body sticking out to the side.
Continuity: In the scene when Kia and Gibb meet Lori outside on the school bench after Trey's death look a few moments later, you see a close up shot of Gibb putting the cigarette towards her mouth and almost reaches her lips, in the very next shot Gibb has the cigarette down in her hand and then a second later she then puts it to her mouth.
Visible crew/equipment: When Freddy is brought into the real world and is fighting Jason in the cabin, look carefully as Jason picks up Freddy and pushes him out the window, you can see a cable attached to Freddy's chest in a close up.

Continuity: In one scene a security guard gets squashed by a door. It then pans over the door, and you can see large grey marks in the door, from where it's been bashed in by Jason. The dents are quite different from when the camera pans over the door, to the wideshot.
Continuity: The end of Jason's machete changes throughout the whole movie. Sometimes it has a rounded end, sometimes it has a pointed end and so on.
Revealing: When Freddy is about to kill Gibb, the claw near the top right that is in the locker bends like rubber.
Factual error: When Jason throws his flaming machete into the fat guy's neck at the party, the way the machete is thrown is impossible. It flies straight, as though it were shot out of a gun. When Jason throws the machete, it should be spinning.
Deliberate "mistake": During the fight scene at Crystal Lake, Freddy stabs Jason's eyes, causing them to bleed very badly. But when Jason falls into the lake, we see him closing his eyes, and his eyes are perfect.
Revealing: In the fight scene nearing the end, Freddy cuts off Jason's fingers. However you can tell that he completely misses Jason's hand, and in addition you can see the pre-made cuts that indicate where the fingers will fall off.

Continuity: In the fight scene on the pier, just after Freddy has sliced off Jason's fingers, Jason blocks the machete, Freddy slashes him with the glove and then cuts Jason's chest with the machete and raises the machete for a downward blow. Continuity: Before Jason kills Trey, we see Trey getting a can of beer. Beside that beer there is another can, which change position in the next shot.
Deliberate "mistake": When Jason throws Freddy to the wall in the burning house, you can see a window on the wall. Now, the distance between the window and the corner of the wall is about five feet. This gives Freddy space enough to hit the wall and not hit the window. However when Jason picks Freddy up you can see the distance has increased to about one feet. It's like they've put in an extra window where there should be a wall instead.
Continuity: When Freddy's shadow impales Blake, you see Blake running off the street. When it cuts you see Blake running off the street again in the background.
Continuity: In the scene where Linderman and the deputy is watching Freeburg throwing all the Hypnocil pills down the drain, they are looking through a glass. Audio problem: About fifteen minutes into the movie, when Gibb says, "I am so under the limit, Lori," her lips don't match the line.
Continuity: When Lori says "Why don't you start in the kitchen and get us some beers" Kia sits next to her with her hand to her mouth eating popcorn. The hand keeps changing from being down and being by her mouth between the shots.

Revealing: At the final battle scene where Freddy and Jason, Freddy knocks over a bucket of spikes that land on Jason. Right before he does that they show a close up shot of Jason and you can very see normal skin of the actor Ken Kirzinger right underneath his left eye.
Continuity: In the scene where the teen tranquilizes Jason and gets cut in half, we see the two parts of the body in the left side of the hallway. After a few scenes, when the camera gets a close-up of the bodyparts, we see one in the left side of the hallway and the other one in the right side.
Continuity: When the sheriff says, "Or so help me God I will lock you up," to Stubbs, you see the sheriff lift his hand with the cigar up. When it cuts his hand is down.
Continuity: When the three girls are sitting outside the school, Gibb puts her cigarette to her lips twice.
Continuity: When Jason slams his machete in to the panel and gets electrocuted, the panel is pretty damaged. When it cuts to him grabbing onto Stubbs, it shows the panel again, much less damaged.

Continuity: When Jason crashes through the cabin wall and slashes the teen, a crate on Jason's right foot alternates from being on / off between shots.
Continuity: When Kia is flicking through a magazine, the page she's on changes from closeups to wideshots. You can tell by the pictures and text.
Revealing: When Lori decapitates Freddy at the end, it's obvious Freddy is a dummy.
Revealing: When Jason sends Kia's body flying into the tree during the fight scene at Crystal Lake, you can see the dummy's arm go flying off of the dummy, in the upward direction, in the shot after the body makes contact with the tree.
