When Misty and Ross are tied in the water race thing, the guy says, "And it looks like Corsola has inched ahead just enough to win it." But he starts saying that before Misty and Corsola cross the finish line. [I don't think this is a mistake. The announcer doesn't say that Corsola has definitely won, just that it looks like it's moved ahead just enough to win. It would only be a mistake if he specifically said that Corsola had won before the race was over, but he didn't.]
How is it Lorenzo, Bianca, Annie, Oakley, Jessie, James, Ash, Misty, and Brock are the only humans awake in the entire town? Surely someone should have noticed all the gates around town and the water draining away. [The movie only focuses on the main characters for the story. There probably were other people that noticed, but the movie never shows them.]
If Latias and Latios are apart on the Hoenn region how come Misty is with Ash and Brock instead of Max and May? [This movie actually takes place during the fifth season of Pokemon,"Pokemon Master Quest". May and Max don't join Ash until the sixth season, "Pokemon Advanced". Just because Latias and Latios are initially from the Hoenn Region, that doesn't mean that they all live in the Hoenn Region. Like in Pokemon the Movie 2000. The Lugia in the story lived in the Orange Islands, but Lugia normally live in the Johto region.]
When Ash is following a disguised Latias around the town, the camera goes into a first-person view around the town, yet Latias cannot be seen. [I think it does that on purpose because Ash was wondering where Latias went. That's why she is not there.]
When Misty and Brock are trapped inside the cage, why doesn't Brock call out Onix? Onix could easily break the cages or cross the waterways. [Onix cannot come into contact with water as that is his weakness.]
