When you see D.A.R.Y.L. in the SR-71 Blackbird there are many shots of the cockpit. There are too many screens, in fact, the only "computer" screen in the Blackbird is in the copilot's part of the plane, D.A.R.Y.L. also did not have a copilot. In the beginning, when Daryl is picked up by the elderly couple, he is wearing a black jacket with a white shirt with stripes. The next scene shows him wearing a brown hat and coat, blue jeans and a plaid shirt. [We have no way of knowing how many days occured between shots. For all we know the next scene mentioned in the mistake could have taken place the next day. If that's the case it is common for people to change their clothes the following day. No mistake here.]
