Other: Early in the film, Jim Carrey is watching TV during a sports segment. He is watching Channel 7, the station he works for. This clip they showed was of actual WKBW sports director John Murphy. The clip they showed was taken directly from a real WKBW newscast, with the authentic news set, and graphics. However, when they show a clip of Ch. 7 News later, there are completely different graphics, and a completely different news set, both made for the movie.

Trivia
During a deleted scene (Jack meets Anita) on the American DVD (and possibly in an earlier part of the film) the sign above Anita's Diner reads, "Try the Sole." This is a nice little joke playing on words kind of like the Homeless Man's signs. See more...
Bruce Almighty (2003) - 76 mistakes
Directed by Tom Shadyac, starring Jennifer Aniston, Jim Carrey, Morgan Freeman, Philip Baker Hall, Steve Carell (add more)
Continuity: After the riot in the streets of Buffalo, Bruce meets up with God again in the Omni Presents building. They discuss how everything is going wrong. At the close-up shot of Bruce's face when he says, "What do I do now?" the frame is flipped. You can tell this because his hair is parted on the wrong side and his nose looks different.
Revealing: In the scene with the accident, the car already has bumper damage just before it hits the pole.
Continuity: When Bruce is seen driving his car across the bridge after his first meeting with God, the hood of his car is no longer dented from the accident.
Visible crew/equipment: When Bruce goes back to the building toward the end of the movie looking for God and finds it deserted, as he runs through it, you can see the shadow of a figure (a crew member) on one of the columns on the left. It even slightly moves as he's approaching the latter as if trying to duck away from behind.
Continuity: When Jim and Jennifer are in the kitchen and Jennifer is commenting on how she thinks her boobs have gotten bigger, Jim is squirting ketchup onto his plate. When he first does this the ketchup goes everywhere all over his plate, cuts to Jennifer and then back to Jim and the ketchup is now in a nice neat pile.
Continuity: Right before Bruce changes into the cloud shirt and black pants from the store, the people in the background disappear.
Continuity: The scene where Bruce is putting a picture in the photo album, the right side of the page is empty. But when the shot changes, the right page now contains pictures.
Continuity: When Jim Carrey parts the traffic and when the camera is on the side of his car and he starts to go, look all the way down the road you could see a person crossing the street but when it shows a sky view of him driving there's no one there.
Revealing: When Bruce is doing his live report after going on air, he has a very shocked expression. But when we look at the live screens (in the studio), they show footage of him smiling earlier.
Continuity: When Bruce has just smashed his car into the pole, he throws the prayer beads into the water and says, "The gloves are off, Pal," which is confirmed in the subtitles. Yet when God reads back what Bruce said from his file cabinet, God reads, "The gloves are off, God."
Continuity: When Bruce talks to his boss, after the boss buys a sandwich, Bruce's shirt collar is tucked under his jacket. However, in the next shot the collar is straight.
Audio problem: At the classy restaurant, watch the man playing the drums. The brushes that he's supposedly using to play the snare drum are an absurd 5-6 inches higher than the drum, making it obvious that he wasn't really playing, and that the music was dubbed in.
Factual error: In the Maid Of The Mist Scene where Bruce is talking on the phone with Grace in front of the boat, this is an impossible shot because the entrance to the Maid of the Mist is farther than that from the actual waterfall.
Continuity: When the pager goes off the first time Bruce takes it out, holding it in his hand. When the camera angle changes he is holding it by the edge.
Other: When Bruce is responding to the e-mail prayers on Yahweh., you can see the prayers don't change, they just repeat the exact same requests in the exact same order.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene toward the beginning where Bruce is doing the cookie line in the mirror, Sam is in the other room peeing on the couch. When the shot changes to Sam, look to the far right and you can see a finger pointing to where the dog should be looking. The dog even appears to be looking straight in that direction.
Continuity: In the scene where Bruce is confronting the gang that beat him up earlier, he has the monkey come out of the guy, who falls to the ground in pain. After the other guys run away, there is a shot of Bruce taunting them, but the injured guy is not on the ground behind him, even though he should be visible. A second later, he reappears when Bruce turns to face him.
Continuity: When Grace visits Bruce at the hospital her hair keeps changing between tucked behind her ear and hanging down.
Continuity: When Grace and Bruce are talking in the car outside her work, a woman with a blue or purple shirt with clouds on it walks past with a woman. The shot cuts to Bruce, then back to Grace and the woman walks past again but this time with a man.
Continuity: In the diner, Bruce is looking out the window and the waitress walks up to him. You can see the two coffee cups on the side of Bruce's table next to each other. When the waitress asks "Coffee?" and the shot changes, one of the cups is suddenly at the centre of the table.
Continuity: In the few days of Bruce being almighty the moon changes from full (when he pulls it closer) to half (after his second visit to the Omni Present building), and then back to full (when we see Grace praying).
Continuity: When Bruce plays the finger game with God and puts his hands behind his back his shirt keeps hanging loose, except for one shot where it looks as if he had pulled it back with his right hand.
Revealing: When Bruce is at the restaurant and Jennifer Aniston believes that he is about to propose, watch her left ring finger, you can see the tan lines from her real wedding ring.
Continuity: In the "Maid of the Mist" scene, after Bruce yanks off the umbrella hat thing in anger, his hair is all mussed and wet. A shot or two later, it is neatly combed down, although he clearly had no time to do so.
Continuity: When Bruce is in heaven and is fingering the prayer beads, the way he holds them changes between shots.
Continuity: In the diner scene, the ketchup and mustard bottles behind Bruce move (left to right) almost every shot.
Visible crew/equipment: When Bruce is in the rain with the blue shirt, you can see his microphone under his shirt about 6 inches below his neck.
Continuity: After Bruce gets hit by the truck on the highway he is talking to God. The shot keeps switching from behind Bruce to facing him - in the shots behind his head a lock of hair is seen hanging over his forehead, though shots facing him show no hair.
Continuity: When Bruce tries to keep Grace's perky picture out of her reach he holds the picture up over his head. When the camera angle changes the hand with the picture is on his chest.
Factual error: As Bruce is about to go on air as an anchor for the first time (at 6 p.m. Buffalo time/ET), a TV screen shows Bloomberg Television. On that, the logo for "Morning Call with Brian Sullivan" comes up. Morning Call finishes at 10 a.m. ET and at that time of the evening Bloomberg would be showing World Business Report.
Revealing: When Grace is watching Bruce's report at the Niagara Falls, it is obvious that the picture has been dubbed onto the TV because there is no reflection of light.
Other: When Grace is running after her fight with Bruce, she sees trees on her right hand side with "Bruce + Grace" and then "forever and ever" inscribed on the following trees. However, when Grace looks to see how far back this is written on the trees, she leans to the left side of the screen (or her right). This wouldn't allow her to see farther down the street, since it was written on the trees to the right.
Factual error: Every time Bruce closes his car door after its been attacked by the thugs, you can hear the sound of broken glass rattling in the door, but the window, whilst cracked is still complete.
Continuity: After God leaves to take a vacation, Bruce's body changes position between shots.
Revealing: In the scene where Bruce changes his clothes with the ones on the store mannequin, he touches himself with one finger and smoke comes out. If you look in the windows to his left, there is no reflection of the smoke.
Visible crew/equipment: When Bruce is in the diner looking for a spoon, the boom mike drops into view for 2-3 seconds. This happens right before he asks for the spoon. Fixed on DVD.
Revealing: In the scene where Bruce is calling the pager number, if you look closely, the phone is a fake or not working, because when he is dialing, the phone is suppose to be backlit and is not. Plus, there is a sticker on the phone LCD which is suppose to look like he dialed the number. The numbers are on there before he is finished dialing and the sound doesn't match his finger movements.
Visible crew/equipment: When Grace visits Bruce at the hospital we see a bit of the boom mike.
Continuity: When Bruce comes to the kindergarten to make up with Grace he shouts "love me", with his hair parted on the right. The camera cuts to Grace, then back to him, and it's parted on the left.
Continuity: When Bruce drops Grace off at the kindergarten she gives him a bracelet with prayer beads. He takes it with the tied end in his palm, but when the camera angle changes the tied end is outside over his thumb.
Continuity: The window crack in his driver's side window that happened during the fight with the gang, changes throughout the movie until he changes cars.
Continuity: When the bum is standing with the "Thy kingdom come" sign you see a man in a red shirt and a man in a black shirt behind the bum. In the next shot the man in the red shirt is still there, but the man in the black shirt is replaced by another person.
Continuity: There is a spoon in the cup holding the coffee that Bruce ordered. In the first shot, is it pointing to Bruce's right. However in the second shot, it is now pointing to Bruce's Left.
Visible crew/equipment: When Bruce and God were on Mount Everest, there are several scenes where a cross-shaped microphone is visible when they are talking. I'm almost positive this has been fixed on the DVD version.
Continuity: In the scene where he is parting the soup and the papers start blowing a paper gets on the back of the old mans neck, in the next shot it isn't there. A piece of paper is also in between Jim Carrey's arm when the man appears in the booth and then it isn't.
Continuity: After Bruce and God finish cleaning the floor, Bruce rests his hands on the top of the mop. The way his hands are positioned change from shot to shot - first one on the other, then one on top and one on the side.
Continuity: When Bruce wakes up at the hospital his face injuries are totally different from what we see when he is resuscitated.
Continuity: When Bruce is fired the security throw him out and a box with his stuff after him. The camera cuts to a close-up of his head next to a photograph of Walter Cronkite. Then there is a wider shot of him slowly getting up, and his stuff is scattered around much more and the photograph is gone.
Factual error: When Jim Carrey is messing up Steve Carell with weird stuff on the prompter, the text that comes up is absurdly small. If this text was used to make a real news report, the reporter would appear to have shifty eyes from reading the small print.
Continuity: When God pages Bruce, Bruce says, "Hello 776-2323", only the number on the pager says 555-0123. Originally, the number on the pager was 776-2323. However, this caused a few problems (people with that number got calls), so it was changed, but without the appropriate voiceover. This is only the case on some DVDs - it's been changed completely on others.
Continuity: When Bruce is pushed back by the "drawer of life" his grip on the handle changes between shots (otherwise he would have broken his thumb the way it was pushed through the handle).
Continuity: When Bruce wrecks the car into the light pole, the hood comes up in the middle, not on the side. Throughout the rest of the movie, the hood is messed up on the left side, not the middle, where it is supposed to be.
Continuity: After Bruce gets his car torn up and passes the sign truck, he says he wants to talk to God. When he hits the light pole and gets out of the car the word "hero" isn't on it anymore. It comes back later.
Continuity: Just before Bruce hands his camcorder to the kid, to videotape the discovery of the body of Jimmy Hoffa. The eyepiece instantly points up and away from it, from one shot to the next, yet Bruce didn't move it.
Continuity: When Bruce gets his tomato soup there are soup marks on the edges of the bowl. When it cuts to a closeup the marks are gone.
Continuity: When Bruce is at the Buffalo Cookie place, in the beginning of the movie, when the baker is picking his nose Bruce says something about the net he is wearing, the tie goes to the side. But the next shot it is in front.
Continuity: When Bruce in the diner, he puts cream in his coffee. In the shots following, his coffee is black. And when she brings the soup, there's a lot more coffee in the cup.
Continuity: When Bruce throws the pager out the window, it gets run over. When Bruce hears it going off again when he is taking the dog outside, It's not as smashed, and has extra stuff hanging from it.
Continuity: In the scene where Bruce is about to crash into the pole with his car, in the shot that was taken of the car's hood, you can see that there is a bench that is behind the pole. But when it goes to the shot where the sign truck drives by, the bench is several yards from the pole.
Continuity: When Bruce hit the lamppost the smoke from his car went upwards. When the truck goes past there is only a little bit of smoke and it is much lower.
Continuity: When you see Bruce driving into the street with the Omni Presents building, you can see a shadow all down the side of the street. After he steps in the puddle, there is one dark patch of shadow, but none anywhere else.
Continuity: Bruce is eating breakfast the morning after he pulls the moon closer. Grace makes him breakfast. In the first shot he put ketchup directly on the sandwich. In the following shot there is ketchup on the side of the plate but none on the sandwich.
Continuity: When Jennifer Aniston hands Jim Carrey the pictures to look through he flips through them and then when he picks them up in the next shot he is still on the first picture.
Deliberate "mistake": On the DVD, in the scene where Jim Carrey finds a picture of his girlfriend (Jennifer Aniston), and holds it out of her reach, you can see that parts of the photo are blacked out, presumably to protect the identity of the person in the photo?
Continuity: Grace and her sister are at the Asian spa getting massages. The Asian woman walking on Grace's back steps all the way up to the base of her neck. The camera cuts to a different angle and the woman's feet are back down to the lower/middle portion of Grace's back.
Factual error: When Steve Carrell is standing-by to read his news bulletin, the Floor Manager cues him to begin by counting down from 5 seconds to zero. In reality, a Floor Manager only ever counts out loud the numbers 5 and 4, while 3, 2 and 1 are communicated via hand signals. This is to prevent the Floor Manager's voice being picked up on air when the presenter's mike is faded up. This error occurs in countless films.
Visible crew/equipment: When Bruce is God and he is checking his prayers, he starts typing really fast to get rid of all the emails. When he's finished new emails come up and when he stands up, for a split second a microphone is visible over his head. Note: this does not happen on the DVD. The visible microphone was most likely an error by the projectionist at the movie theatre.
Continuity: When we first see the "homeless man" holding the "R EWE BLIND" sign, his right hand is on the top, about an inch from the edge. The camera cuts to a view from behind him, and his right hand is now slightly wrapped around the top right edge.
Continuity: There are two scenes in the movie where Grace is noted to have donated blood in the dialogue, one near the beginning, and one, the final scene. The blood donation is a fairly important turning point for Bruce's rehabilitation. And yet, neither of Grace's bare inner arms in either scene show any iodine, bruises, holes, or perhaps the easiest to spot, any small bandage that would result from blood donation.
Continuity: When Bruce is doing his cookie story and he is running through the line of children pouring milk, the jug he is pouring it from somehow keeps refilling itself from shot to shot.
Continuity: In the scene where Bruce and God are standing on water, after God reaches into the water to get the beaded bracelet, he puts the bracelet on his wrist. However, just as God turns to walk away the bracelet is in God's hand, not on his wrist. As you see God walk away he's looking down and it seems as if God is just then putting the bracelet on his wrist.
Continuity: While Bruce stirs his coffee, there is no napkin on his left. After the waitress walks towards him, one appears from nowhere.
Continuity: In the scene where Bruce makes Evan Baxter spout gibberish on the live newscast, the water glass at Evan's right elbow moves between shots. Sometimes it is closer to his elbow, sometimes farther to Evan's right. The glass also changes position in reference to the graphic projected behind Evan, although it appears that the graphic moves to the right also.
Continuity: In the beginning of the hospital scene Bruce's head bandage covers his left ear almost completely, later only half of it.
Continuity: In the scene where Bruce complains about his mediocre life Grace's hair gets tucked behind her hair without her touching it.
