Continuity mistake: In the scene when Dave and Buddy sing "I am pretty" on the bridge Buddy's seat belt shifts between his shoulder and his arm several times, sometimes so far down that it's not in the picture any more. (00:32:55)

Revealing mistake: When David's car does the little jump while driving to the Yankee's game, you can see that it is a stunt driver driving, not Adam Sandler. This is most obvious when the light hits his face for a second.

Factual error: When Dave is on the plane the flight attendant is talking about "how their country is going through a very difficult time right now" meaning the 9/11 attacks but later on in the movie when Buddy is in the shower and Dave is talking to his lawyer on the phone on the roof in the background you can see the twin towers.

Plot hole: Just how can you get a famous author, a judge, and a flight attendant set-up Adam Sandler in such a scheme? A judge cannot use a courtroom (along with bailiffs during regular business hours) to pull off such a scam. Moreover, when he was arrested for the fight in the bar, there is no guarantee he would have been brought up before the same judge. Also when explaining to his boss about not getting a second flight in the beginning, Adam Sandler says that the plane had been turned around because of his behaviour. Show me an airline that's willing to do that for a scam. (00:23:15 - 01:30:40)

Continuity mistake: Buddy pours cereal in his bowl. When he spells out the word chill, there's not much cereal in the bowl. Much less than he poured in it.

Audio problem: Buddy throws away Dave's CD's, which make a breaking sound. Why? It's not like he threw them from across the room. He simply drops them in the trash can.

Continuity mistake: Dave boards the plane before Buddy but when Dave is being shown his seat, Buddy is already sitting in his.

Continuity mistake: When Dave boards the plane the way his lapel is crumpled under the strap of his bag changes several times from shot to shot. (00:03:55)

Continuity mistake: After his first court case Dave goes to the Community Center where Buddy does anger treatment. When he picks up one of Buddy's books from a table there are some wooden chairs scattered in the background. In the next shot we see him from an upstairs landing, and there is now one wooden chair with its back directly at the table, and one white plastic chair where the wooden chairs were before. Continuity mistake: After the first court case Dave walks upstairs to meet Buddy. When he comes through the door he is holding his verdict papers in his hand, which he didn't have with him when he was downstairs. (00:08:40)

Continuity mistake: When Dave and Buddy sing "I am pretty" on the bridge the window is visibly closed, only during their arguments with the drivers who go by (especially the taxi guy) the window is open. (00:33:05)

Plot hole: Near the end where Adam Sandler's girlfriend tells him that the anger management was a set up, Sandler asks about the air stewardess incident and she says that it was all a set up, however, the cocktail waitress incident isn't mentioned and surely his girlfriend couldn't have arranged that, therefore it was in fact a coincidence that everything worked out in the end. (00:23:15 - 01:30:40)

Continuity mistake: When Chuck is assigned as Dave's anger ally he puts his hand on Dave's shoulder from the side. When the camera shows them from behind his hand is on the back of Dave's shoulder. (00:17:40)

Factual error: Adam Sandler's apartment is near the Brooklyn Bridge. His office is in downtown Manhattan since you can see Brooklyn Heights and the Brooklyn Queens Expressway from his boss's office. Jack Nicholson pulls the emergency brakes on the Queensboro bridge when they are heading to Sandler's office. You wouldn't take the Queensboro bridge to go from Brooklyn to downtown Manhattan. (00:32:20 - 00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: When Dave throws the bully-turned-monk Arnie Shankman down, Arnie's head lands on the gravel and his robe under his body. Before Arnie gets up there's a close-up of his head with his robe partly under his head. (01:05:45)

Continuity mistake: When Dave approaches Buddy in the Community Center there's a white painted brick wall in the background. When the camera angle changes the wall is covered with a colorful carpet. (00:08:55)

Continuity mistake: When Dave drives up the parking garage of the Yankee stadium we see him coming up the ramp to the upper level. Then the camera cuts to the side and he is seen passing by a row of parked cars which weren't there before, then it cuts back to his car still on the same ramp. (01:23:55)

Continuity mistake: When Robert Merrill walks up to the microphone in the Yankee stadium it's fixed on a black stand. When Dave spots it we see a close-up where it's fixed on a silver stand. Later, when he snatches it away from Merrill it's on a black stand again. (01:24:45 - 01:25:45)

Continuity mistake: After Adam Sandler gets the brownies thrown at him by the girl in the red dress, you can see that there are brown spots all over his jacket. When we next see him, (in the scene with Jack Nickolson) there is no sign of there ever being any brownie on him at all.

Dr. Buddy Rydell: Dave assaulted a female flight attendant in mid-air.
Stacy: Nice.
Gina: I bet you beat her good.
Dave Buznik: I didn't beat anybody. I touched a woman.
Chuck: Liar, bullshitter, you're a woman beater! And you can't admit it, because you're a deluded piece of garbage.
Dave Buznik: I don't know about all that but... now I know why you're here.
