Anger Management (2003) - 51 mistakes
Directed by Peter Segal, starring Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson (add more)
Factual error: When Dave is on the plane the flight attendant is talking about "how their country is going through a very difficult time right now" meaning the 9/11 attacks but later on in the movie when Buddy is in the shower and Dave is talking to his lawyer on the phone on the roof in the background you can see the twin towers.
Continuity: After his first court case Dave goes to the Community Center where Buddy does anger treatment. When he picks up one of Buddy's books from a table there are some wooden chairs scattered in the background. In the next shot we see him from an upstairs landing, and there is now one wooden chair with its back directly at the table, and one white plastic chair where the wooden chairs were before.
Plot hole: Just how can you get a famous author, a judge, and a flight attendant set-up Adam Sandler in such a scheme? A judge cannot use a courtroom (along with bailiffs during regular business hours) to pull off such a scam. Moreover, when he was arrested for the fight in the bar, there is no guarantee he would have been brought up before the same judge. Also when explaining to his boss about not getting a second flight in the beginning, Adam Sandler says that the plane had been turned around because of his behaviour. Show me an airline that's willing to do that for a scam.
Factual error: When Dave and Buddy get to Boston, Dave is using his cell phone, mentioning that they didn't have to take a five-hour trip to Boston just to find out that Buddy's mom was getting a Jelly Bean removed from her nose. Problem is, he's calling from the ramp staircase of Alfred Lerner Hall at Columbia University, which is in New York City, not Boston.
Other: In the scene after Dave throws a calculator at a colleague there is a very weird 3-second establishing shot of his apartment building. In this short span shadows fall over the building twice, and it changes between fully lit and fully in the dark twice. In the end there is the silhouette of some equipment covering the lower third of the screen.
Factual error: Adam Sandler's apartment is near the Brooklyn Bridge. His office is in downtown Manhattan since you can see Brooklyn Heights and the Brooklyn Queens Expressway from his boss's office. Jack Nicholson pulls the emergency brakes on the Queensboro bridge when they are heading to Sandler's office. You wouldn't take the Queensboro bridge to go from Brooklyn to downtown Manhattan.
