Other: When Mitch, Frank, and Beanie decide that they are going to have a party they say the party is on a Friday night. When they show the outside of Mitch's house you see the sign for the party and it says the party is on Thursday at 9:00. Then when Frank talks to the guys with the beer bong he says that tomorrow he has nice Saturday planned. If the sign is right then he would have a pretty nice Friday.

Continuity: Will Ferrell is holding a hockey stick right side up when he smashes the glasses on the kitchen counter. When they cut to a wide shot, he is holding the stick upside down.

Other: When Mitch arrives to find the house boarded up, a note is attached to the door. However, the voiceover and the note begin differently. The note begins as 'Dear Mitch, the house is boarded up...', but the voiceover starts with 'Dear Mitch, if you're reading this, you already know the house is boarded up...'.

Continuity: When Dean Pritchard is telling the frat guys that they failed, he flips up the first page on his clipboard. While the paper is flipped up, we can see that there is a line drawn through Blue's name. When he flips the paper back down, Blue's name is no longer crossed out.

Continuity: When Will Ferrell is in the living room for the first time, there are two hockey sticks leaning there. One stick has just a stripe of tape on the blade and the other is mostly taped. He is first holding the one with the mostly taped blade and later it shows him with the other hockey stick.

Continuity: Frank gets the black eye from Andy Dick's character, but later when he shoots himself with the dart he has no black eye. Then, at Blues funeral when he is talking to his wife, we see the black eye again.

Continuity: When Luke Wilson is telling his coworkers what they need to do to get into the fraternity, he hands a tiny piece of paper to Matt Walsh. In the next shot, the paper is missing from his hand.

Continuity: When Frank shoots himself in the neck with the dart gun, we see him fall over a table as his sandal falls off his right foot, but in the next shot his sandal is back on his foot.

Continuity: When Spanish is running away from the van when the guys are trying to kidnap him, he goes from having his backpack on, to not having it on. Then when Frank tackles him in the fountain, he has the backpack on again.

Continuity: When the guys pull into the parking lot to kidnap the 2nd pledge, the pledge and his wife can be seen backing up into the side of their van but when the guys get out of the van the pledge and his wife are now seen standing a few feet away from their van.

Continuity: When 'Blue' is kidnapped he has a walker, but later Blue can be seen comfortably jogging with the new pledges around campus. If he uses a walker, he shouldn't be able to jog so comfortably.

Plot hole: When they are being told they have failed the evaluation, the dean tells them, "Yes, you people did finish with 84%, but another one of your pledges finished with a zero in every category." It then goes on to state that this drops them down to 58%. For one pledge to bring them down 26% there would have to have been less than four pledges, including Blue, i.e. only three actually taking the evaluation.

Continuity: After Will Ferrell burns himself jumping through the fire hoop as the mascot, he is seen with a burnt red upper body. In the floor exercise shot and after, there is no redness on his shoulders.

Continuity: When Frank is seen streaking down the street, there is a brunette in the back of his wife's vehicle and she is wearing a hat, but in the end of the scene after Frank has sat beside her the hat disappears between cuts.

Continuity: When Frank falls over the table after shooting himself with the dart gun, there is a straw hat on the chair. The hat sticks under his right arm. But in the next shot, it is away from his arm and visible in front of the camera.

Continuity: Right before the guys kidnap the 2nd pledge they are seen in their van driving towards a street corner with a traffic light but as they make the left hand turn into the parking lot, the street corner and the traffic light are gone.

Continuity: At the wedding, the coffee stain on Nicole's dress is low and to her right in some shots, while it is high and to her left in other shots.

Other: When everyone is chanting 'Frank the Tank' at Mitch's party, look at the bloke with the grey and yellow striped top on. He starts chanting too early, realises what he's done, then looks around and holds his breath until everyone else starts shouting.

Continuity: During the KY wrestling match, when Mitch is wrestling with the girl, the beer Frank's holding keeps switching hands.

Continuity: When Frank and the Dean of the university start rolling down the classroom stairs, they start off falling away from each other and then they are seen rolling down the stairs on top of each other.
