In the scene where Esther and Norman are talking in the car after their first meeting. the scene is very obviously cut up. One second she is quite serious and in the close up she is laughing and something one of them has just said, then Norman replies to a question which had been cut so it seems like he is just saying things out of nowhere. [This is relates to the 1954 version of A Star Is Born not the 1976 version, they both have the same name but are very different.]
