Cobra

Continuity mistake: In the sedan/pickup chase, both of Cobra's headlights are shot out at the start with pinpoint accuracy. A minute later as the cars race down the freeway, the holes where Cobra's headlights used to be are filled with black plastic discs.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Cobra pulls his gun out and sets it on the table, he opens the pizza box, eats a piece, then pulls his gun out again to clean it.

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Cobretti is talking with the Hispanic guy for the first time (after parking his car) he rips off his shirt revealing a black wire attached to his chest using duct tape. (00:13:30)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Cobra is preparing his weapons in the hotel room, you see him take out three grenades from a bag that is lying on the table inside the room. As the camera changes shot during the scene, you see Cobra remove the third grenade for a second time, even though in the previous shot he has already taken it out of the bag.

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, a pistol is shown while Stallone does a voice-over. The pistol has the custom Cobra grips on it. If you zoom in on the DVD version, you can see the words "9mm conversion unit" on the slide. Later in the movie, while Stallone cleans the gun (the one with the custom Cobra grips) in his apartment, he removes the magazine and it shows .45 Glaser ammo in the magazine.

Continuity mistake: When Cobra and Ingrid are being chased by the brown sedan and the pickup truck, at one point while the truck is behind him, the guy in the passenger seat puts three bullets into the left-hand corner of Cobra's car boot. Throughout the rest of the chase, these bullet holes are nowhere to be seen. (00:47:20)

Other mistake: In the scene where Stallone is at the shooting range, after he leaves the morgue, when he pulls out his gun, you can see a target's reflection in a glass pane in front of Stallone. He points the gun at the target and shoots, but the glass is in the way.

Suggested correction: There's no glass in front of him. The glass you're referring to is part of the partitions on the sides. You can see the first one when he and Gonzales walk in and Gonzales is asking what they can do. The reflection is in the 2nd partition that is to Cobra's left. The camera angle just makes it look like it could be in front of him.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the super market scene when Cobretti shoots the bad guy, the slide on his gun locks open after his last shot indicating that the gun is empty. Before he puts the gun in his waistband you see that the slide is now forward without Cobretti doing anything to it.

Continuity mistake: When Sly drives the truck around a corner you can see two drivers in the cab - he's supposed to be escaping in the truck by himself....

Character mistake: In the morgue, the Captain says the latest victim brings the total up to 16. However, prior to the killing, the news report said there's been 16 victims. This is the 17th victim.

Movie Nut

Revealing mistake: As the bad guys' Ford pickup flips end over end, the device making it flip is briefly visible. Also, the "bad guys" still in the truck turn out to be dummies.

Continuity mistake: For the a good part of the movie, you see many closeups of Ingrid's hands. You see that she has very short nails but when she is in the hotel room on the bed with Cobra, you can see that her nails are long and manicured. Then the next morning her nails are short again. She had no time to have her nails done.

Revealing mistake: During the big car chase (in the 1950 Mercury Monterrey), Cobretti throws the toggle switch for a nitrous boost, and the speedometer immediately leaps to well over 100 mph. However, all the exterior shots show that the cars are barely going 35 or 40 mph, in traffic.
