Mistake Revealing: During Criswell's opening and closing narrations it is painfully obvious that he is reading from a cue card.

Mistake Continuity: During Criswell's opening narration, the time of the story changes from taking place in the future ("Future events such as these will affect you in the future.") to taking place in the past ("what happened on that fateful day...").

Mistake Other: During the first funeral, the priest only reads the bible for himself and says nothing to the other people.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: At the funeral scene in the beginning of the movie, the wooden crosses added in the cemetery are obvious props.

Mistake Revealing: The pilots are not sitting on normal seats like in every airplane, but on stools or boxes.

Mistake Revealing: The American pilots fly the plane with no hands.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Someone's hand from behind touches the shower curtain in the cockpit of the plane as the pilot says, "You better radio in for landing instructions, Danny".

Mistake Continuity: At the beginning of the movie the narrator states that the funeral for the old lady is taking place at dusk. The next scene, in the airplane, is supposed to be taking place at the same time yet when the co-pilot calls the control tower he says that it is fifteen minutes to four and he doubts that the controller would be awake at this time of the morning.

Mistake Continuity: The co-pilot radios in to Burbank tower in the middle of the night. In the next shot we see the saucer and it's broad daylight.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When the pilots are flying in the airplane there's a strange device above the co-pilots head. Later in the movie we see this same prop used again inside of the spaceship as the alien beauty Tanna opens up the hatch.

Mistake Revealing: It's amazing how little equipment is in the plane: a shower curtain, a thermometer, and a cardboard steering wheel.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the pilots are driving the plane and a spaceship pass them you can see a shadow of a microphone.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: As a prop they use a 50' style radio microphone strapped to the co-pilot's chest.

Mistake Continuity: The pilot says to his wife that the flying saucer was cigar-shaped. The actual shape was more like two dishes attached together.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: While the spaceship is flying, the string is very visible. Also, you can see on the bottom of the spaceship/plate that there is a flowery design.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": The saucer flies left to right past a church at the beginning of the movie. Later they just reverse the film as the saucer flies right to left away from the same church.

Mistake Continuity: The grave diggers are covering Bela Lugosi's wife's grave in broad daylight. In the next shot when Vampira comes walking out it's in the middle of the night.

Mistake Revealing: When Bela Lugosi walks off screen, it's obviously a freeze frame. The swaying tree stops moving and even though he was hit by a car, his shadow is still visible.

Mistake Continuity: Bela Lugosi's wife was buried under ground and we see the gravediggers cover the casket. In the next shot we see her above ground near the mausoleum.

Mistake Continuity: A man at the old man's funeral says "It's getting dark out." It's already pitch black out.
