Okay, so Jeanie (or Jeanine, I dunno) was a hemophiliac (she bleeds a LOT). Now, they said that she died by her worst fear, which was knives. The Doctor tortured her for TWO DAYS. Even if he didn't use knives the whole time, she would have been dead well before, having bled to death long before the 48 hours came to pass, because even bruises can be severely dangerous to someone with her condition.
