66 mistakes - chronological order

Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie, near the end of that first getaway scene, the black BMW is missing its passenger side-door mirror. It reappears from time to time, depending on the shot. It is first missing the mirror as the car approaches that train yard/docks area. (00:01:20)

Continuity mistake: The style of the seat and headrests in Frank's car repeatedly changes, from the time he awaits the first transport in the garage, through all the following shots. In the opening shot of the car's interior, the bottom of the headrests are sandwiched between the raised sides of the backrests. When Frank drives out of the garage the backrests do no not have raised sides and the headrests are rounder. (00:01:20)

Continuity mistake: When Frank is on the way to the bank, he stops at an intersection and a couple of people cross. On the right side of his car (as on the screen), that part of the lane is empty. Then there is a shot of Frank inside the car and you can see cops in their patrol car next to him, while in previous shot there was nobody there. (00:02:50)

Visible crew/equipment: In the initial chase scene just after the shot where you see the two police vehicles following the BMW into a narrow lane there is a head on shot of the BMW, all throughout this shot you can see the side/brake lights of the camera car reflected in the driver's side headlight, and the grill when the BMW is really close. (00:05:00)

Continuity mistake: During the 1st chase when camera is showing how Frank's hand is shifting gears, there's one shot of the bank robber's hand getting hit with the gearstick while Frank is shifting. Next shot shows all bank robbers in the car with visible hands. No one is that quick to move his hands so fast. (00:05:20)

Continuity mistake: When Frank is being pursued by the blue police car, while transporting the three AIC robbers, the blue car's front license plate becomes lopsided to the right and then to the left, but when the car stops short at the traffic barrier the license plate is on properly. (00:06:50)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When the blue police car pursues Frank, who is transporting the AIC robbers, as they pass pillars (between the two cars) a man rushes behind one of the pillars facing it, but next shot his back is up against the pillar. (Only visible in widescreen.) (00:07:00)

Continuity mistake: The antenna/aerial mast located on the rear windshield/hood of Frank's BMW vanishes and reappears repeatedly. For instance, before the first shot of the two garbage collectors walking, in the closeup of the two AIC robbers in the back seat looking out through the back windshield (one screams) the antenna/aerial mast is gone. (00:07:30)

Revealing mistake: Before Frank drives off the overpass onto the transport trailer, in the close-up there is sand placed at the top of the back tire (but the rest of the tire is clean), which creates the effect of the dust cloud as the back tire begins to spin. (00:07:45)

Super Grover

Revealing mistake: On the transport trailer, Frank leans out his car window and dramatically fires at the ramp's tall lever control in a close-up, located at the rear of the transport over the tires. The problem is that the trailer has no such lever control, as seen in the previous shot before it drives under the bridge overpass. (00:07:55)

Super Grover

Factual error: In the first chase scene, when the Transporter jumps his car off the bridge, over the railing, and on top of the moving transport, it would be impossible for his car to gain enough speed to get its front end up so high and get over the railing the way it did, just by driving over the sidewalk edge. (00:08:00)

Continuity mistake: When surrounded by police and a garbage truck, Frank drives his car from the overpass onto the passing transport trailer below, then lands behind a hatchback and in front of two cars - a white compact with a sunroof and a grey hatchback. In one specific shot from atop the trailer, as Frank rolls his window down (before he requests the gun) the only vehicle behind Frank's car is the white compact, which is at the trailer's rear. Note things such as the trailer's safety bars, and the view through the compact's windshield for starters. That grey hatchback is back when the ramp is lowered, for the ensuing crashes. (00:08:20)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: While transporting the three AIC robbers, when Frank drives backwards down the auto transport trailer, the driver side mirror breaks as it passes the trailer's side safety bar, but that mirror is intact again by the next shot. (00:08:35)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Frank reverses down the auto transport trailer's ramp, the BMW's front right (viewer's left) foglight (located on bumper) breaks off. In following shots the foglight is intact. (00:08:45)

Character mistake: Inspector Tarconi refers to Frank's car as a BMW 765, yet later Frank refers to it as a BMW 735. In the E38 style BMW 7 series, there are 728, 730, 735, 740, and 750 models. Only the 740 and 750 sold new in North America and all the models sold in Europe. The 740 and 750 are almost never seen in Europe for fuel reasons. There is no such car as a BMW 765, in any body series. (00:12:30)

Continuity mistake: When Frank is shown removing his spare wheel from the trunk of the car, it appears to be a standard BMW alloy wheel (from a 740 series I believe). Then, when he is first lifting his car with the jack, the car has the standard BMW alloy wheel already installed on it, yet in the next shot where he removes the wheel, it is his own aftermarket wheel that he is removing. He is then shown installing the standard alloy wheel. (00:17:35)

Continuity mistake: When Frank takes Lai out of the trunk, she sits with her hands tied as she shakes the bag off her shoulder, and her pink top's spaghetti strap drops down below her white sleeve. Next shot the pink strap is on properly. (00:21:05)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Lai is taken out of the trunk she is wearing mid-heel, pointy toe pumps. During her escape attempt and when Frank lifts her over his shoulders she is wearing black soled, round toe flats, then changes back and forth a couple more times. (00:21:25 - 00:23:00)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: As Lai is allowed to pee, she escapes. Frank gives chase, and she in her panic falls down the hill. Watching on DVD, you can see upskirt and note she was given flesh colored pantyhose. Before and after her tumble though, she is not wearing any. (00:23:00)

Inspector Tarconi: Monsieur Frank, people with this kind of firepower do not make mistakes about who they visit. Who would want you this dead?

Question: Frank is fighting a lot of bad men in oil, so everything is slippery. My question is: What are the things Frank puts on the front of his feet, to fight the slippery oil, they are like half-rollerskates?

Chosen answer: You notice that Frank removes those items from a bicycle frame. Those are stirrup-style rat trap bicycle pedals. They have serrated metallic edges which supposedly give Frank traction on the concrete floor, despite the oily mess.
