Christine

Factual error: When Christine is about to crush Moochie you see the car is a few inches wider than the entrance to the loading dock. Even a small box truck that you can rent is 7'3" wide so that opening would have to be wider than that for the truck to back in. A 1958 Plymouth Fury is only 6'6" wide. Christine would have had plenty of room to just drive in and crush Moochie. (01:45:45)

Suggested correction: Just to the side there is a sign saying fork lift loading area. A fork lift is much narrower than a truck or a car.

Not disagreeing that a forklift couldn't go down there but @ 1:05:28 you see DANGER spray painted on the right in yellow on the bricks. Below that you see a yellow sign with black letters that say FORKLIFT AREA. Does not say "loading area." Also notice the black rubber bumper that goes across the entire length of the loading dock. That is there to cushion the trailer or box truck when it touches the loading dock. Then the yellow black yellow bumper that goes around the inside of the area is there to protect the building when the driver is backing up with either a trailer or a box truck.

Factual error: When Arnie Cunningham visits Dennis Guilder in the hospital, Dennis does not have a back brace. Patients with broken backs are put in a back brace to immobilize the spine, serving the same purpose as a cast. (00:42:50)

Christine mistake picture

Factual error: There are a few scenes in the movie which show Christine locking her doors and we see that she has common lock "buttons" on the inside door panels. This is incorrect - 1958 Plymouths are not equipped with buttons. To lock the door, the door handle has to be rotated counter-clockwise. (00:48:15)

Factual error: When Arnie goes to visit Dennis in the hospital, on Thanksgiving, the date November 23 is shown just before the camera pans across the TV which is on and it shows the Oakland Raiders playing the Detroit Lions. That year the Lions played the Broncos on Thanksgiving. Three days later, on Sunday, the Raiders played the Seattle Seahawks. That Season though the Lions did play the Raiders on November 19, which would have been 4 days before.

Plot hole: George Lebay says that his brother died "6 weeks ago" inside Christine and that's why he's selling it. Later that evening after Arnie leaves his house and goes to Darnell's, Will Darnell says he "knew a guy who owned a car like that" and "the bastard killed himself in it." If it's only been 6 weeks since his death, shouldn't Darnell have recognized the car? It's not like there were lots of red Plymouth Furies (custom order color) running around the small town, let alone the USA, even in 1978. (Also considering how production even had a hard time finding them for the movie).

Suggested correction: He says he knew a guy with a car like that. It doesn't have to be the same colour or even the same generation. Just a Plymouth Fury.

Darnell basically said he knew THE brother of Lebay, not just some guy who owned a similar car. Darnell described Lebay's brother based on the story. Again, it was him, not just some other guy.

Trivia: One time Alexandra Paul brought her twin sister Caroline to the set and successfully pranked director John Carpenter by having Caroline shoot a scene. Carpenter, very amused, later said he could tell there was something odd going on when they shot the scene... but couldn't quite figure out what it was.
