Austin Powers in Goldmember

Continuity mistake: In the first scene that we see Austin on the shoulders of Mini Me, they have problems walking and Austin slams a big water bottle on the ground. A few moments later, we see a shot and the big water bottle is not on the ground.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Basil interrupts Austin and the Japanese twins, look behind Basil. In several of the shots toward him and you can see a guy in orange and someone else dancing. In the next shot, about a second later, the guy is propped up against the wall. Pretty quick, huh?

Visible crew/equipment: In the opening scene where Austin is parachuting down to the Shaguar, there's a shot where you can see the Shaguar driving along without a driver. Notice that the driver seat is much bigger than the passenger seat, it's obviously somebody inside the seat driving the car. (00:00:50)

Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the opening dance number, Austin flips toward the camera. The stunt double's shirt comes open, revealing a lack of excessive body hair. (00:06:36)

Continuity mistake: When Number 2 removes the Globe off Dr Evil's head, there is no hole below.

Continuity mistake: The amount of glass and the position of the glass from the busted globe changes positions in a couple of shots.

Continuity mistake: When Austin and Foxxy are confusing Mr. Roboto's words, the plate of food on the table changes between shots. Sometimes it is in front of Austin (even after Foxxy moves it), sometimes it is in front of Foxxy, and sometimes it is missing altogether.

Continuity mistake: During the scene where Austin is beating up Mini Me in his apartment, you can see that the lamp is knocked over already. A couple of shots later we see Austin knocking over the same lamp.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Nigel is telling the henchmen how he is going to beat them up, five out of his six coat buttons are undone. However, when Mini Me is leading Nigel into the room, all his buttons are done up, but Nigel wouldn't have had any time to do up his buttons if Mini Me was pointing a gun at him.

Continuity mistake: When Mini Me and Dr. Evil are appearing before the World Organization they are found guilty. When asked if he had anything to say Dr. Evil says "No, but I think Mini Me does". Mini Me then pulls down his pants to moon the Judge and council. When he does this we see him from the front, but there's no sign of his well endowed manhood, as implied later in the film. luchador

Continuity mistake: The first time we see Dr. Evil in his submarine, he is looking through the periscope. When he steps back, we see his eyes are brown. His eyes are blue throughout the rest of the movie. (00:39:20)

Continuity mistake: When we see a flashback of the Powers's car blowing up, the license plate flies off. However, when Nigel is looking at the burning car, the license plate is still on.

Continuity mistake: After Austin says that he does not want a mushroom, the maid takes the tray away, but just before the maid takes the tray away you can see that the mushrooms have switched places with something else.

Continuity mistake: In the scene when Austin is in the room with the fountain, he trips over the cord and the water fountain stops running. The Japanese man on the telephone looks over to see what has happened and then looks over again.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning, Steven Spielberg is holding the Oscar in his hand, but in the next shot, he isn't holding it, with no time to put it down between shots.

Other mistake: When Austin, MiniMe and Foxxy are in Nigel's Mini, MiniMe is communicating to them with written notes. When he writes the first note to Austin, Austin reads it with the written words facing the camera. He is reading the back of the page where no words exist. Also, the words are upside down when facing the camera. In slo-mo, we can see the hand-off of the paper from Mini Me to Austin and how the front, top written on side of the paper ends up facing the camera and upside down. There is no way that Austin can read what is on the page. The paper is not thin enough to be read through as one other person has claimed. Foxy receives a note from Mini Me and we cannot read through the paper that is handed her. (01:08:30)

luchador

Continuity mistake: When Goldmember is electrocuted, the post in front of him snaps and falls with him. However, when we see him on the floor, there is no sign of it. (01:21:40)

Fat Bastard: On top of spaghetti all covered in. Corn? I don't remember having any corn.

Question: I don't get this: When Nigel Powers is first taken to the submarine, at one point he looks down, sees Mini Me and says "I thought I smelt cabbage." What's that all about?

Answer: In the first Austin Powers when he is talking about his two fears, one of them was carnies. He then said they have small hands and smell like cabbage. Most likely then Mini-Me reminded him of a carny.
