Austin Powers in Goldmember

Visible crew/equipment: In the opening scene where Austin is parachuting down to the Shaguar, there's a shot where you can see the Shaguar driving along without a driver. Notice that the driver seat is much bigger than the passenger seat, it's obviously somebody inside the seat driving the car. (00:00:50)

Visible crew/equipment: At the beginning sequence of the film when a view of the empty Shaguar can be seen, the camera moves along side. When this happens, the car carrying the camera can be seen in a squashed up reflection against the Shaguar. (00:00:50)

Austin Powers in Goldmember mistake picture

Revealing mistake: In the beginning right before the opening dance number begins, Gwyneth Paltrow and Steven Spielberg (in cameo roles) do back flips. You can see the stunt double doing them as the stunt double was wearing a blond wig (depicting Paltrow) that falls off after the first flip. (00:04:22)

Continuity mistake: During the opening sequence Austin visits Qunicy Jones and the orchestra. When Austin pops out of the "movie screen" the timer below the screen reads 20:18:58. He re-enters the "movie screen" 13 seconds later, but the timer has progressed faster than the movie and is now at 20:19:26, 28 seconds later. (00:05:20)

Continuity mistake: In the showdown between Austin and Britney, when the view goes to a close up of her machine-gun breasts, she has significant cleavage but when it zooms out she has no cleavage. (00:06:10)

Visible crew/equipment: At the end of the opening dance number, Austin flips toward the camera. The stunt double's shirt comes open, revealing a lack of excessive body hair. (00:06:36)

Continuity mistake: You can see that the hills (complete with HOLLYWOOD sign) are superimposed at the end of the opening sequence. A blue sky is visible through the gates, and in gaps in the leaves of the tree at the left of the scene. (00:07:00)

Continuity mistake: In Dr. Evil's Hollywood lair, when they all sit down, the chocolate, remote control and Mini Me's feet switch positions many times. (00:09:20)

Austin Powers in Goldmember mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In the scene in Dr. Evil's secret Hollywood lair the people behind the shot of Scott disappear and reappear several times. A woman sitting on a couch sits alone, but in the next shot she is sitting with a man reviewing files. The man disappears several times. (00:09:50)

Continuity mistake: In the first scene with Dr. Evil, inside the alleged 'Hollywood Talent Agency', Scott asks for some chocolate because he wants to prove to his dad that he is better than Mini Me. The chocolate is right next to him after he eats it. If you look closely, you can barely see it at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. You can see the corner of the box. The shot changes back and forth between Dr. Evil and Scott a couple times. Almost every time it goes back to Scott, the chocolate is gone then comes back the next time. (00:10:55)

Continuity mistake: When Mini Me and Dr. Evil are appearing before the World Organization they are found guilty. When asked if he had anything to say Dr. Evil says "No, but I think Mini Me does". Mini Me then pulls down his pants to moon the Judge and council. When he does this we see him from the front, but there's no sign of his well endowed manhood, as implied later in the film. (00:13:10 - 00:45:55)

Audio problem: In the scene where Austin gets interrupted by Basil when he's with the Japanese twins, you can hear the twins say "bye bye", but they don't move their mouths. (00:16:41)

Austin Powers in Goldmember mistake picture

Revealing mistake: In the scene when Austin Powers goes to visit Dr. Evil in prison to ask about his father there is a shot of Dr. Evil with Austin's head partially in it. If you look at his reflection in the glass, you see he looks nothing like Austin. The person in the reflection is actually a body double. (00:21:20)

Austin Powers in Goldmember mistake picture

Continuity mistake: If you look closely in the scene where Austin travels through time in the "Pimp Mobile", you can see a golf cart in the background driving by. If you watch closely, you can see the golf cart disappear at the same instant the pimp mobile does. (00:23:20)

Factual error: If you look closely at the bar in the club when Austin goes back in time, there is a bottle of Tangerey "Ten": a gin only recently introduced, so it would not be around in the '70s. (00:23:51)

Revealing mistake: When Austin first sees Foxxy in the nightclub, she is singing with two back up girls and doing the same dance moves as the back up singers are doing. You clearly see that the back up singers dance to the right and Foxxy goes to the left, then corrects herself. (00:24:30)

Other mistake: As Goldmember skates out onto the dancefloor, the black woman in gold behind him has a few problems rollerskating. She doesn't quite keep in time with the music like everyone else, and stumbles after everyone raises their knee. The woman directly behind her seems to bump into her. (00:25:14)

Continuity mistake: Just after Nigel and Austin are turned around on the bed to face Goldmember, we see Foxxy filing Goldmember's nails from behind. In the very next shot where we see the front of Goldmember his nails are still being filed, but then in the next shot Foxxy is simply standing there and Goldmember sitting still as if they were doing nothing. (00:29:15)

Continuity mistake: In the scene in 1975 when Goldmember peels a chunk of skin off his head, he asks for the skinbox, which Foxxy opens. The scene cuts to Austin and Nigel, then back to Goldmember, where Foxxy is opening the skin box again. (00:30:35)
