Continuity: In Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, the mirrors don't reflect at all, they're very dirty. But when Harry changes into Goyle, his face is clearly reflected in one of the mirrors.

Visible crew/equipment: Just arriving at Diagon Alley Hagrid says, "I was looking for Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent. They're ruining all the school cabbages." In the next shot Hermione exits the shop and runs towards Harry. On the ground is Dan Radcliffe's (Harry) red mark, which he promptly steps on just before Emma Watson (Hermoine) glances down and steps on her own black tape mark. (Visible on fullscreen DVD.)

Revealing: As Harry climbs the Salazar Slytherine stone head's locks of hair, the Basilisk crashes his face and creates the first immense hole. As Harry tries to climb higher, it pounds into the stone again creating another huge hole, higher up on another lock of hair, to Harry's left as he hangs on. However, when the Basilisk smashes his face into the stone a third time, as Harry nears the top, the second huge hole is GONE, in this shot and in the first wide shot in which Tom Riddle is visible.

Other: When Ron is on all fours beginning to cough up slugs, Harry says "Let's take him to Hagrid's". Hermione mouths the lines with him.

Visible crew/equipment: After Harry climbs up the side of Salazar Slytherine's stone head in the Chamber of Secrets, the first time the Basilisk slams his face into the stone in the wide shot, the bottom of a crew member's denim pant LEG and SHOE are totally visible lying on a work surface, beneath the stone head's beard! The digital editors overlooked this one. (Visible on fullscreen DVD.)

Revealing: When Harry and Ron run at the wall to get to Platform 9 3/4 if you watch Hedwig's cage when they tumble over you can see a toy bird that is glued onto the perch.

Continuity: When Errol drops the howler it lands in a bowl of potato chips/crisps. The seal to the envelope is open, but when Ron grabs it the seal is closed.

Revealing: In the many and lengthy dialogue scenes between Potter and Dumbledore, with countless facial close-ups, neither of them have glass in their spectacles.

Visible crew/equipment: While chasing the Snitch, Malfoy says, "You'll never catch me, Potter." In the following wide shot from the side, the SEAT support under Tom Felton's left thigh is visible, as he was filmed sitting upright for this particular shot. In the following front shot of both together, as Harry passes Malfoy, the seats that are attached to the broomsticks, to add a bit of comfort for Dan Radcliffe and Tom Felton, are visible.

Continuity: When Harry cast the charm on Malfoy in the duelling club, Malfoy falls on the floor with is hair messed up. When the camera cuts to the next scene as Snape pulls Malfoy up, his hair is neat again.

Continuity: As Ron's luggage cart/trolley slams into Harry's, Ron's trunk is visible. As Ron begins to flip over in the overhead shot, the trunk has five strips of brown trim - two on the edges and three in the middle. When Harry and Ron moan and get up, Ron's trunk now has four strips of brown trim - two on the edges and two in the middle.

Revealing: Mrs. Weasley might as well knit like a muggle because she's not making any progress with magical knitting. In the Weasley's home and we see the magic knitting, the needle shoves into the hole, but no thread loops around and it is not advancing. The amount that has already been knitted is magic indeed since all the motion shown in the film produces no results.

Continuity: In the scene where Lockhart is attempting to teach students how to cast charms for disarmarment, Professor Snape casts his charms against Lockhart. Lockhart goes flying through the air, wand in hand. The movie then cuts to a shot where Lockharts wand goes flying through the air out of his hands, then cuts back to a shot from his left shoulder where he lands wand in hand. Movie then cuts back to his front left, and he gets up without wand in hand.

Other: When Harry falls out of the car as he and Ron are flying above the train, his hand misses the door handle completely and he should have fallen clear to the bottom of the gorge. However, in the next shot and after, he is hanging onto the handle quite firmly.

Continuity: When Harry and Ron run into the wall in the train station, you can see the owl's cage open, but when they stand up, the cage is closed.

Continuity: When Ron, Harry and Hermione drink the polyjuice potion, they all drop their glasses, smashing them onto the floor and presumably making a big mess. However, in the high angle shot looking down at Harry, there is no sign of broken glass or any potion splattered anywhere.

Visible crew/equipment: When Ginny becomes conscious after Harry stabs the book with the fang, as the camera pans back, a semi-clear reflection of an overhead stage light is visible in the ink.

Revealing: In the scene where the students are in Professor Lockhart's Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson you see that when Professor Lockhart lets out the Cornish Pixies, two of the pixies pull Neville Longbottom up by his ears and hang him on a chandelier. Because the pixies were computer-animated, they had to put clips behind Neville Longbottom's ears to make it look like he was being lifted up by the pixies. When he was dropped onto the chandelier by the pixies, you see his ears are still in a stretched position where the clips are.

Continuity: When Ron says, "Oh no! The invisibility booster must be faulty," the wipers are shiny chrome, as is the base of the center button between them. When Harry says, "We need to find the train," in the shot of Ron and Harry as the car begins to descend, the shiny chrome of the windshield wipers is GONE. In the Whomping Willow, Ron says, "My wand. Look..." the wipers and the base of the center button are all matte black now. After the tree smashes the windshield, in the next exterior shot, as the camera pans out while the boys scream, the front blue hood of car is seen and the entire wiper is GONE, whereas in the following shot the wiper is back. When the tree comes through the back window, in the front shots, the hood is seen again and the windshield wipers are GONE again. (Visible in DVD fullscreen format.)

Continuity: When Harry, Dumbledore, and Lucius Malfoy are in Dumbledore's office and Harry says he will be around to save the day, his face is clean. Later, when Harry gives Malfoy Tom Riddle's diary, his face is as grimy as it was in the Chamber.
