Other: Near the end of the movie, directly after Deeds pulls Babe out of the ice cold water, is it just me or is her Old-Navy-type jacket still dry? (It still looks light colored and fuzzy) Should it not be wet considering her whole body was just in water?

Trivia
Sticking with the To Kill A Mockingbird references, in the scene where Deeds and Pam are outside of Pam's "apartment" and the old lady and dog walk out. She calls the lady "Mrs. Finch" and the dog "Atticus". Atticus Finch was the main characters name in To Kill A Mockingbird. See more...
Mr. Deeds (2002) - 98 mistakes
Directed by Steven Brill, starring Adam Sandler, John Turturro, Peter Gallagher, Steve Buscemi, Winona Ryder (add more)
Continuity: During the scene in which the homeless character portrayed by Steve Buscemi is having a conversation with Longfellow, he is eating a slice of his favourite pizza; French Fries & Oreos. In shot in the scene Buscemi takes a bite out of the slice of pizza, and there is one Oreo on the slice, toward the front of it. Then the shot goes to Longfellow for a moment, and in the next shot of Buscemi, the Oreo is suddenly at the other end of the slice. The Oreo continues moving from the front to the back of the slice throughout the scene.
Deliberate "mistake": Am I REALLY supposed to believe that a helicopter is capable of hovering above the top of Mt Everest? [In the DVD specials, the filmmakers say that they're absolutely aware that it's not possible for a helicopter to hover above Mt Everest. They just thought it would be a funny scene if a helicopter pulled the dead guy away from the mountain.]
Continuity: The most flame retardant box of cereal ever! When Deeds saves the woman from the burning building, there is a box of cereal next to the window that is on fire, and only on fire at the top of the box. The scene takes three or four minutes, yet through it all the fire never spreads to the rest of the box or dies out. The top just keeps on burning. Product placement, methinks...
Continuity: In Winchestertonfieldville, Iowa, Pam and Deeds stumble across the house with blue shutters and a red door. In a wideshot, the red door has a letterbox and doorknocker, yet when they reach the door the letterbox and doorknocker have vanished!
Continuity: In the scene where Deeds is tossing the cats out the window, he throws a black cat with white paws which gets caught by a dog. The dog runs by a guy who suddenly has the cat in his hands without bending over to pick it up. Not only that, but the cat has become grey with black stripes.
Continuity: In the scene where Deeds is rescuing the cats from the fire, Pam couldn't have gotten the footage while holding a cat over the corsage with the hidden camera.
Audio problem: In the basketball stadium scene, when Deeds is checking everything to make sure it's all right, the violin player plays a couple of notes. The violin player's fingers and bowing don't match the notes he's playing.
Continuity: Deeds beats up an opera singer and another rich guy. Pam catches it all on her button camera, but she wouldn't be able to see both assaults from a different view, she shows the same views of the assaults as the actual movie itself shows.
Continuity: Murph is helping out at Deed's pizza shop early in the film. In the scene where he is talking to Deeds, a Pepsi cup disappears off his serving tray.
Continuity: When Mr. Wetherley walks off, after Deeds gives him a 'lift', Chuck is standing to the right of Anderson. Shot changes, and he is by Anderson's left.
Factual error: In the scene when Deeds rescues the woman from the fire, right before him and her jump out the window, all seven cats were rescued, but we can visually see a black cat on the left of the screen on top of the stove. Deeds and the woman jump from the window, leaving the black cat on top of the stove to burn in the fire. All seven cats were obviously not rescued.
Continuity: When Deeds is walking and talking with Chuck and Anderson, Deeds spots Mr. Wetherley slowly walking along the street. Deeds then runs over to him, and offers him a 'lift.' Wetherley is walking past a shop, and there is a bench outside the shop with a little black litter bin beside it. The distance between the bench and the bin changes three/four times between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: On the video, in the ice scene just before Deeds pulls Pam from the water, you can see the legs of someone standing in the background that appear quite obvious against the snow and are definitely not tree trunks.
Revealing: When Deeds rescues the last cat from the fire, if you look closely, you can see the fire-proof glove he has on his hand.
Continuity: When Deeds is eating cereal, he offers Emilio some, who refuses, then Deeds puts the cereal box back down, and the box front is facing the screen, but in the following shot the box is turned sideways.
Continuity: When making the echo noises together, the man from the elevator is standing behind Deeds and Emilio. He is wearing white gloves, but for one shot they disappear.
Factual error: Mount Everest does not look like that nor would anyone have been able to reach the top during daylight, for the winds would be dead strong and everyone there would've been blown off the top.
Revealing: Deeds says give the money to them, the United Negro College Fund. When the money is handed over, the title on the desk says NAACP. In the credits, an NAACP official is listed but not one for the UNCF.
Factual error: When they realise there is a storm coming, you see two men sprinting down the mountain. Climbers can't do this. The air is so thin, and hard to breathe in, and the difficulty of that climb, they become so tired, that it is physically impossible to do.
