Continuity: When Toula goes to meet Ian at the school where he works, and they are talking in the hallway, her arms occasionally move from behind his neck to the front of his shoulders. The continuity is correct at the bgeinning of the scene, but at the end it happens a few times.

Factual error: In the scene where Toula and Ian are standing on the bridge talking about their families, you can see the Toronto skyline in the background (Scotiabank, Bank of Montreal), although they are supposed to be in Chicago.

Continuity: After Toula scrunches up the college flier, she reopens it and, in doing so, she rips a corner off it. When she takes it out in another scene, it is clearly the same flier but the corner is intact.

Revealing: Near the end when Toula and Ian are in the limo, Toula starts to wipe off her makeup and take off or loosen her wedding dress. She actually pulls off the bow on the right arm of her dress. If you pause the movie right there, you can see by Ian and Toula's reaction the bow was not supposed to be removed. The scene ends immediately after.

Audio problem: After Toula's mother hangs up the phone and continues peeling potatoes you hear a clicking sound. She stops for a second to turn the potato and the clicking sound continues while she is not peeling.

Continuity: In the scene where the family is discussing the wedding invitations, it shows the mom handing the box top to the father to see the invitation. A few seconds later, Toula has the box top in her hand, and then in the next shot, she has just an invitation, no box top.

Continuity: In the scene at the reception where Gus gives Toula and Ian a house as a wedding gift, Ian's hair changes from one shot to the next. His hair goes from dark and wavy, to light and straight, and then back to dark and wavy.

Continuity: In the very first scene of the film when Toula and her father are driving to the restaurant the windshield is visibly clear, then the camera is on her father, then when it switches back to her, the windshield has fogged up on her side.

Continuity: The night before Ian is baptized, the family is at the restaurant where Ian wants to talk to Gus. In one shot, you see Ian at the table with food and wine glasses. The next shot that you see Ian in, there is a wine bottle on the table.

Factual error: When Toula's grandma is being shown the house, she starts to tell Gus off. The captions show that she says "Listen here, ugly Turk, . . ." but in fact she says, "Listen here, I KNOW YOU'RE A TURK, . . ."

Continuity: In the scene when Toula's sister drops the menus on the floor you see the same extra with a huge greenish rain overcoat walking back and forth outside at least 5 times.

Continuity: When Toula's sister comes to the restaurant with her three boys she throws her coat on top of the cash register, and her scarf slips to the right side. When she leaves she picks up the coat which is covering the whole cash registers (plus the menus she is going to drop on the floor) and the scarf is lying on top of the coat.

Continuity: In the scene when Toula is having lunch at college and she sits down with all the blonde girls, as she pulls the chair out she puts her lunch bag on the table but in the next shot when she is sitting down she again puts it on the table and the top of it is screwed up differently.

Continuity: Near the beginning, when we first see Nikki and Angelo, Nikki punches Angelo and then walks away while Angelo's mother comforts and hugs him, then in the next shot Angelo is sitting normally with his mother next to him.

Continuity: In the scene where Ian asks Toula to marry him, before he does it, they are lying in bed talking. During the first shot, she is playing with his face with her left hand, and when the view changes to her, in the bottom left corner of the screen, you can see part of the same hand on her stomach. In the next shot of him, her hand is on his face again. This continues to switch thoughout the scene.

Continuity: When Ian and Mike are in Dancing Zorba's and are drinking coffee, Mike asks for some more but the coffee gets poured into Ian's cup instead. As Toula walks away, the hand holding up the cup follows her, but in the next shot he does it again.

Continuity: When Toula and the two other girls get dropped off at school her father rolls down the window to talk to her. At first it's almost all the way down, then in the next shot it's about 3 inches higher.

Continuity: When the next door neighbour brings back Toula's grandmother to her father, the camera angle from the front shows his right hand on her right arm near her shoulder. When the camera angle changes to a rear view, his hand is now on her shoulder. Happens twice during the scene.
