Mistakes

Towards the end of the football game when Jake throws the ball on the scoreboard there are 32 seconds left and where it says "Reggie Ray's Concussions TO GO" it says either 10 or 0 where as before it said 1. But when Reggie gets hit with the football the scoreboard goes from 1 to 0 and the timer as at 0:00. It is unlikely that that whole play took a full 32 seconds. See more...

Entry The prom night band is punk-rock group Good Charlotte.
Entry During the "Can't Hardly Wait" spoof scene, the party house used was actually the same house used for "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
Entry In the lunch scene when the boys are talking, it says on the Hot Dog stand: Hot Dogs, for practicing oral sex.
Entry For those that have the movie in widescreen, watch Ricky when he finishes his poem and makes his way back to his seat. As he does this he pretends to throw up, similar to Jim Carrey in 'Liar Liar' when Jim fakes a throw-up on his client's lover. Just something to look out for.
Entry The school cafeteria is called "Anthony Michael Dining Hall", named of course after Anthony Michael Hall, the star of many 80's teen movies.
Entry The guy who says, "I'm not ordinary", spoofing the American Beauty guy, is in the house following Jaime Pressly with the camera, however it's a different actor. Jamie Pressly explains in the bonus features (commentary) that they just wacked the same outfit on an extra. That's why you only see him from the back.
Entry For people who didn't figure it out; the woman at the airport who talks to Janie and Jake about how they stole their speeches from "She's All That" and "Pretty in Pink" is played by Molly Ringwald, a teen movie icon in the 80's, who starred in "Sixteen Candles", "Pretty in Pink", and "The Breakfast Club".
Entry In the cafeteria the banner says "SAVE FERRIS", a nod to one of greatest teen movies, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
Entry In the scene where the three boys try to see in the girls locker room, just before they climb in the vent it shows a shot of the vent. Underneath it is a sign - if you look closely you can see that it reads ' Vent to Girls Locker room - capacity 2 adolescent boys'.
Entry When Jake is punching Janie's younger brother, if you look really closely you can see that one of the punches really does land on his nose, purely accidentally of course.
Entry When Priscilla and her friends are walking down the hall for the first time, they talk to Jake and walk away. Look behind them: there is a sign with panties around it that says, "Panty raid from semester 1."
Entry The high used for this movie is the same high school used in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Beverly Hills 90210
Entry At the beginning of the movie, when the guy who is giving a tour to all the incoming college freshman, he tells them to separate. On the jackets of the jocks, it spells JOCKS, with a letter on each person.
Entry The fictional name of the high school in this film is 'John Hughes'. For those who don't know, he was the director behind 80's teen cult films "The Breakfast Club," "Weird Science," "Sixteen Candles" and "Pretty in Pink."
Entry Right after Jake opens Catherine's bedroom doors, you'll see Catherine flipping through the pages of Jake's diary. During "Cruel Intentions", it's told Kathryn wants to read Sebastian's journal.
Entry During the scene in the classroom where the teacher is having the students read their poems, if you look on the chalkboard you will see the words "I Don't Know" written on it. This is a nod to "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" where in class Mr. Hand asks Jeff Spicoli a question, he responds with these very words and angrily Mr. Hand writes them on the board before giving the class another pissed off tirade on being stupid.
