Continuity: When Peter Parker is chasing the school bus for the first time, the bus stops and it is entirely visible that there is nothing in front of the bus. When the camera is switched to the inside of the bus to show Peter stepping inside to apologize to the bus-driver, however, a tractor-trailer suddenly appears only yards from the front of the bus (visible through the windshield). Some road markings also appear.

When Peter Parker confronts Uncle Ben's killer in the warehouse, after Parker slams him through the glass windows in the door, the killer drops his gun and pulls out a knife. After he is disarmed of the knife, Peter kicks him up against the wall. At this point the killer has the gun back in his hand. See more...
Trivia
The script of the movie is actually quite close to the original comics' story line. The major difference is that the Green Goblin's hostage in their final fight was not M.J., but Gwen Stacy, Spidey's other serious romance, who died from the shock of the fall when (or even before) Spidey caught her. She broke her neck when Spidey stopped her in mid-air with his webbing, something Superman and other movies ignore. See more...

Continuity: When Harry introduces Peter to his father, Norman, and they're talking on the steps, there's a redhead in a purple sweater and beige trousers who goes past Peter's right shoulder just as Norman says "science whiz", then a few shots later walks behind Norman, then in the next shot of Norman walks behind him again.
Continuity: During the scene in which Peter is introduced to Norman Osborn in front of the museum, keep an eye on the Volvo parked behind the Rolls Royce. When the camera first faces Mr. Osborn (Willem Dafoe), the Volvo in the background has the window rolled halfway down. Camera switches to Peter and Harry, then back to Mr. Osborn. This time the window is all the way up. When the camera comes back to Mr. Osborn again, there is someone leaning in the window talking to the driver. The next time the camera comes back to Mr. Osborn, the window is again halfway down.
Visible crew/equipment: When Peter stands up after being bitten by the spider, there's the reflection of the cameraman with headphones on the television set behind him.
Continuity: In the scene where Osbourne tries the performance enhancers on himself, he takes off his labcoat and throws it into a corner. We see a long shot of the lab, and the coat is in at the base of the pillar. In a subsequent long shot however, the coat has moved a foot or so.
Continuity: When Norman is getting ready to test himself, he lies down on the bed, fastens himself in and the doctor goes to the computer. However, when it shows him being brought in to the chamber he has several electrodes connected to his chest and head.
Continuity: Near the beginning of the film when we see Peter waking up and reaching for his glasses, in the previous shot he didn't have the blanket on him or over his shoulders, it's in the background on the floor, yet when he reaches for his glasses the blanket is on his shoulders.
Visible crew/equipment: When Peter wakes up and discovers he can't see through his glasses, you can see a phantom hand on the left sliding out of view in the mirror. This happens the last time Peter tries to see through his glasses. It's not a reflection of his hand due to the angled edge - it's on the main part of the mirror.
Continuity: When Peter is trying to talk to Mary in the cafeteria you can see behind where he is standing there are numerous people and tables between him and the back wall. Peter then sits down and in the very next shot his table is one table away from the wall behind him. The shot may be lower but is from the same angle as before.
Continuity: In the cafeteria scene, Mary Jane slips on some spilled orange juice that causes Peter to catch her. A short while later when Peter gets up to leave the cafeteria, running away from her enraged boyfriend, the spilled orange juice is not there.
Continuity: When Peter accidentally flings the tray of food on Flash it hits him on the left shoulder but when Flash stands up the stain temporarily jumps over to his right shoulder.
Other: When Peter is jumping from building to building after he first learns he has powers, you can see that he is jumping over the same alley over and over, only taken at different angles. The clotheslines (and the shadow of them on the wall) is a good pointer.
Continuity: When Peter is drawing up ideas for his costume the hand is that of comic artist Phil Jimenez, current artist of Wonder. Phil Jimenez is right handed and Tobey is left handed. In one of the cuts the pen is in Tobey's left hand but it shows him drawing with his right.
Continuity: When Peter shoots his web at his bedroom lamp and pulls it across the room, it smashes against the wall and breaks. But when Aunt May is talking to Peter from the door seconds later, the lamp is back on the dresser in one piece.
Continuity: When Peter is practising throwing spider webs in his bedroom, his first attempt hits a model rocket and it breaks in many pieces. A few shots later when he finally hits the Dr. Pepper can, as he whips it across the room you can see the rocket back in one piece, just leaning against the wall.
Continuity: When Peter shoots webs around his room and hits the rocket over, all that is on the nightstand is the cool light bulb lamp, the picture and the Dr. Pepper can. When it flips back to the nightstand again you can see some weird green alarm clock next to the overturned picture.
Continuity: When Peter and his uncle are talking in the car, and the camera is on Peter, you can see lots of plants and bushes in the background. When he gets out of the car, there are no plants or bushes.
Continuity: When Spider-Man is chasing the crook with the gun, the crook shoots 7 times through the roof of the car. Shortly afterwards you can see 9 bullet holes in an overhead shot. As the scene moves along there is another overhead shot (just after Spider-Man jumps the bridge) - no bullet holes. Seconds later the bullet holes return.
Continuity: When Peter Parker confronts Uncle Ben's killer in the warehouse, after Parker slams him through the glass windows in the door, the killer drops his gun and pulls out a knife. After he is disarmed of the knife, Peter kicks him up against the wall. At this point the killer has the gun back in his hand.
Continuity: When Osbourne is talking to Peter at the graduation, the scene keeps changing from him having one hand on Peter's shoulder to both to none. You see this just after Harry sees Mary Jane break up with Flash.
Revealing: In the scene after Spider-Man stops the convenience store robbers, it shows a newspaper article. This article virtually repeats itself. Here's what you can read: "Witnesses claim an unknown masked man was seen exiting the Ling Deli after stopping two suspects from attempting to rob the establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail....(cutoff)....attempting to rob that same establishment. Police spokesman John Young said "we've heard of Samaritans, but in 20 years I've never seen anything like this." The two suspects were taken to the county jail."
Other: During the shots of newspapers with articles about Spider-Man, if you look closely at the shot of the newspaper article just before the shot of Spider-Man putting on his mask, the second column is repeated in the fourth column - easiest to spot is "NYPD spokesperson, Sean Young..." appears twice.
Continuity: When Peter is talking to Mary Jane outside the diner, the same man is seen walking behind Peter 3 or 4 times - biggish man with a flat cap on. First when Peter says "so you're acting now?", then when he talks about Harry not living on earth, then again when Mary Jane walks off.
Continuity: When Peter is talking with Mary Jane outside the diner where she works, watch the positioning of the shadows in the background. As the camera shoots from Peter's point-of-view, the sun is casting shadows up the street. When the shots change to MJ's point-of-view, the shadows are pointing down the street, as if the sun had just moved ahead several hours.
Continuity: When Spider-Man is taking snapshots of the armored car burglary, one of the burglars says "watch the street". As the camera snaps you see them pointing rifles or machine guns towards the sky and when Spider-Man lands on them to dispatch them, the weapons are gone...
Continuity: When Jameson is flipping the pictures of Peter's first batch of photographs, you can see (in slow motion or if you have really good vision) that the 3rd picture he looks at changes into an entirely new photograph, when he puts it down. The one he's looking at is Spider-Man on the side of a building, but when it's on the desk it's Spider-Man kicking a thug in the face. The one he then looks at changes too - it was about to have a bit of sky on the left, but then turns into a photo of a street from above, with no sky visible.
Continuity: At the start of the Unity Festival scene just after we see Peter taking a picture, it cuts to Macy Gray, in the first shot she is not holding onto the mic stand, yet in the following shot she is.
Continuity: At the World Unity Festival, Peter is taking pictures. When he looks up at Harry and M.J. on the balcony, his camera, which has been your average "right handed" camera throughout the film, magically becomes a "left handed" camera. The shot's obviously been reversed - his parting's on the wrong side as well.
Continuity: During the World Unity Festival, as the balcony first collapses, a blond woman and a man are running to get out of the wreckage. But in the next shot, the same couple just stand under the falling balcony looking up and Peter uses webbing to pull the standing-still couple to safety.
Continuity: When Spider-Man catches Mary Jane as she falls off the balcony, in the shot from above there are two columns lying on the ground - one on the right as we look at it, a few feet from the red area and parallel to it, and one on the left at an angle. In the shot of them landing, the one closest to the red area has disappeared.
Continuity: When Mary Jane is being mugged by four men, Spider-Man throws two of the men into two windows behind Mary Jane. The shot switches to Spider-Man beating up the other two guys. When it cuts back to Mary Jane the two windows are intact.
Continuity: In the scene just before the final fight between the Goblin and Spider-Man, Spider-Man gets knocked through a wall and rolls right up against another wall, but when the bomb flies in as he's getting to his feet, he's suddenly in a much more open area with no wall anywhere near him.
Continuity: In the final battle, the blood on Spider-Man's chin and under his nose keeps disappearing and reappearing.
Continuity: In the final cemetery sequence, Peter and Mary Jane square off for a little heart to heart, with her touching his face tenderly with her black leather gloves. The camera intercuts between front views of both: in hers, her fingers are touching his ear lobe, in his, they are a inch below his ear lobe. In one quick cut of hers, the hand has disappeared completely, then in mid-sentence as they cut back to Peter, it's there again.
Revealing: When Peter is just getting to the science lab at the beginning right after his friend gets out of his fancy car, if you look at the extras walking behind the two, you will see a BRIGHT red haired girl walking by, going towards the building, but when the camera focuses on Peter the girl is there again, walking the opposite way on the other side of the huge sidewalk. You see her about 5 times going back and forth to the building. The first few times she's alone, then she's walking with another girl.
Continuity: In the scene in which Peter and Flash are fighting in the hall, Harry runs up to Mary Jane to see what is happening, seconds later Peter jumps up to avoid Flash's friend charging him from behind. In the shot of Peter flipping in the air, you can see that Harry is no longer standing next to Mary Jane, a girl in a blue sweater is. After Peter lands, the camera cuts back to Mary Jane and Harry is once again by her side.
Continuity: When MJ kisses Peter in the cemetery, his head is leaning towards his left, and in the next shot, his head is leaning towards his right.
Continuity: In the cafeteria Peter web-slings a tray, with hardly any corn on the plate. Then Peter flips it onto Flash and suddenly there's a whole lot of corn on his back.
